The players cannot blame anyone but themselves if they don't play to their potential. However, if they are demotivated under the current gaffer, that's a problem for the club that needs to be addressed. You can either replace the players or replace the gaffer - it's a no brainer...

I would want most of the players to convince me that they are good enough to play for the team if I was Moyes, at the moment most of them are not doing it on the field. Far too easy to blame the manager and if you believe half of what the press dream up

The author of that article wrote back in October that:

Now, if this was any other club, Moyes’ days would seem to be numbered. Thankfully for him, it is not. On current form and with presence of depth at the top of the league this year with strong starts for Liverpool and Tottenham along with the usual suspects, this has the potential to be a big crisis, make no mistake about it.

But it is not completely out of Moyes’ hand yet, and he would do really well to steer the club out of this rut and at the very least, make the top 4. Yes, the top 4. But that is the minimum and with every point that is being dropped, the room for maneuvering is becoming smaller and smaller for ‘The Chosen One’.

You have to wonder why Chelsea are willing to let such a player go to a Premiership rival. It's not like they need the money...

I'd hate to see Moyes blow a big chunk of money on one player, and then find himself with no money left over. Look at what happened after he spent £28 million on Fellaini.
