The players cannot blame anyone but themselves if they don't play to their potential. However, if they are demotivated under the current gaffer, that's a problem for the club that needs to be addressed. You can either replace the players or replace the gaffer - it's a no brainer...
I think the key mistake Moyes made was messing with Fergie's winning formula. His ego caused him to get rid of Old Trafford veterans who had been at the club for years, and bring in his own team. There is something almost obscene about showing Mike Phelan the door but inviting rookie coach Phil Neville in...

The author of that article wrote back in October that:
Now, if this was any other club, Moyes’ days would seem to be numbered. Thankfully for him, it is not. On current form and with presence of depth at the top of the league this year with strong starts for Liverpool and Tottenham along with the usual suspects, this has the potential to be a big crisis, make no mistake about it.
But it is not completely out of Moyes’ hand yet, and he would do really well to steer the club out of this rut and at the very least, make the top 4. Yes, the top 4. But that is the minimum and with every point that is being dropped, the room for maneuvering is becoming smaller and smaller for ‘The Chosen One’.
Yet still the cries of 'plastic fan' ring out...

I'd love to see SAF take control of at least one first team game this season, but by offering odds of 13/2 on that happening, Paddy Power are basically stealing punters' money. I might be tempted to have a flutter if the odds were 100/1...

You have to wonder why Chelsea are willing to let such a player go to a Premiership rival. It's not like they need the money...
I'd hate to see Moyes blow a big chunk of money on one player, and then find himself with no money left over. Look at what happened after he spent £28 million on Fellaini.

From the BBC:
Manchester United manager David Moyes speaking to Sky Sports on the prospect of getting to Wembley: "We have a lot of work to do before we get there, we have to come from a goal down but we'd rather be in this position than not be here. Our aim is to win tonight or at worst be 1-0 ahead after 90 minutes to take it to extra time."
One nil against Sunderland at 90 minutes? Don't you think you're pushing the boat out a bit there?
