She's gone so who cares?
Cameron becomes a Lord so he can be parachuted into the cabinet as Foreign Secretary. WTF is going on? I believe Aec Douglas Home was the last ex PM to be brought back into government. But he was an MP democratically elected.
Have we now reached the point where democratic mandates mean nothing and any numpty can be dropped into the cabinet.
It's incredible!!!!
This lot are totally insane!
Ironically Cameron is the last Tory PM I would rate at all. But he was an idiot.
It's nice to know we could all have a job in the government via a fast-track peerage.
Indeed, I vote for a cabinet including you, Firlandsfarm, Jimibt and more forum members than I can list. So long as Dallas is PM.

The shit show really began with Cameron and his decision to have that referendum. Then we had May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak. Absolute dross and embarrassing on the world stage...
Cameron should have remained neutral and would therefore have been able to stay.

i dont hink Cameron will be of help much but i guess the idea is to appeal to the centre of the party who have been departing with their votes/feet during all the by elections.
Cameron could be of great help as our Foreign Secretary. He will possibly command respect abroad as an ex PM and he can say to the EU countries I was on your side! The current alternative is David Lammy, yeah I can see a lot of respect for him abroad (not)

And good to see that you don't think Brexit, Ukraine, Covid, world energy prices, world interest rate rises et al never took place.
You honestly have the reading and writing level of a 14 year old. This obvious lack of intelligence is foregrounded by the gross assumptions you make that are simply you trotting out talking points you've read in the right wing press. "Der, don't like Tory, must be Marxist"

This video, from an economics researcher, explains the pickle the Tories created for Britain - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vElaMskCwkY

Watch it, then watch it again, and find someone in the year above to help you understand it.
   I assume you graduated from the Derek School of Insults. And you adopt his style of commenting ... guess what the other person thinks/means and then criticise him for thinking/meaning it!

so -anyway. getting back on topic. given that we're heading to the close of the year and there have been more than enough political shocks over the past 12 months, how are folks thinking re the 2024 being election year?? this would coincide with mayoral elections and local council elections, so may make sense.

anyway -topic officially back on track...

The last time Britain had a VIBRANT economy was 6 Prime Ministers ago under Tony Blair,
like it or lump it that is a stone cold fact. At the next general election the Tories have to be punished for their long trail of failure.

I did not vote Jezza Labour in 2019 because I know he too would've been a disaster in power.
Vibrant economy? ... they took the position the Conservatives handed over to them and spent all the money as evidenced by themselves!
You have got your facts WRONG FF

Go and look at the economic growth under Blair and compare to last 13 years and while your there go and look at the debt levels of Blight under Blair and Brown and compare to what we have now.

The global economic recession of 2008 was what undid Brown NOT repeat NOT their policies. A global economic meltdown that engulfed all western nations, remember Ireland?
Emmson, I simply said the Blair government spent all the money the Conservatives handed over to them. Anyone can make an economy seem vibrant when they are given a healthy economy and run it into the ground secretly spending all the money. His Government only faced two difficulties ... one, a war of his own making and two the global economic recession which undid them. Not a good record of successes! Covid was a global problem, energy prices is a global problem, interest rates is a global problem, Brexit, while not global, had to be fought with one hand tied behind our backs by the Remoaners, the LL's are hindering as much as possible any attempt to stop the small boats and don't forget our help for Ukraine. I don't see how you can compare the two.

FF and LeTiss both hardcore Brexiteers I seem to remember how are you enjoying those Brexit benefits?
They would be great if the Remoaner half of the country would stop crying and direct their energies to maximising the advantages.

I recently posted that we now export more to the EU than we did pre Brexit despite them throwing their toys out of the pram but I that's the sort of news Remoaners just don't want to hear, they rather bury their heads in the sand.

I have not abused anyone with debasing language, some have I haven't but I will defend Blair and Brown on their handling of the economy.

Though I won't defend Gordon Brown selling off gold at the wrong time and at the wrong price.
