And I thought we had left the unsubstantiated outlandish lies behind us!! ... All fool me.
As I've already explained, you don't understand English - the "even if" is the bit that went over your head. I was talking to LeTiss, not you, and he didn't appear to take it literally!

You are a fuckin' hypocritical wanker, aren't you?

Sorry to be a pain greenmark, you will see I'm starting a closure routine ... let's see if Derek does likewise

Fair enough if you're unable to refrain from posting, but only a true narcissist like you could delude yourself into believing you're starting a "closure routine", bombard the forum with nonsensical attacks and then pat yourself on the back believing you've made an effort, the effort being that you've announced starting a closure routine, whatever that is. And you think I'm a liar!!

I made a genuine attempt to stop annoying greenmark, Kai and the rest of the forum by ignoring your posts so nobody can blame me for it anymore.

Just remember, any more of your ignorant and twisted replies are for the enjoyment of the rest of the forum. I'm not wasting any more time on you.

I remember two Christmas's past. I got two unusual Christmas gifts. Life in the UK handbook from my Social Precriber, and Private Eye annual from one of my crazy friends !!!

Guess which one went to Charity :D
At the risk of dismay I hope you dumped the handbook and soaked up the Private Eye mentality.

Yes, I did indeed. I now subscribe to the Private Eye Annual. I have been told if you want to learn English humour then this is a GREAT start. And I do enjoy Print Media like this product, and the Big Issue.

I'm also very happy that Comrade Dave has now been welcomed back into British politics. We can all sai a relief. Hopefully we can now finally put the Panama Banana misunderstanding to rest, phew ...

I feel governance is more diverse and inclusive now, with Madam Risky and PM Modi now pulling the strings !!!

If I was legally allowed to vote in the next General Election then I would vote President Xi for PM, Dodgy Dave as Ministry of Finance, and President Kim as Miltary Attachè.

It's a Win Win :D

Agreed and they take words out of context, twist them and then claim something to be said that was not said. Latest example is the comments re the homeless. She said those choosing NOT to accept help are choosing to keep a homeless lifestyle ... which they are, it's as clear as the words. But the media and the anti-governmenters launched a bandwagon and everyone jumped on.
this is the EXACT quote tbh:

4 November 2023
"We cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice."

That social media post came amid government backroom wrangling over what would make it into this year's King's Speech. Mrs Braverman reportedly wanted to impose fines on charities who give tents to rough sleepers.

Her push to get the police included triggered an internal row with colleagues. The idea was not included in the speech.
Jimi, you missed off the bit before your quote where she said "There are options for people who don’t want to be sleeping rough, and the Government is working with local authorities to strengthen wraparound support including treatment for those with drug and alcohol addiction." ... the 'lifestyle' comment was referring to those who didn't want the help, those who had made a choice not to accept help ... it is they who are making the lifestyle choice but the bandwagoners don't want to read those qualifying words because they don't fit their misleading interpretation!
And before I go this evening ...

I do agree with Firlandsfarm interpretation of Ms BRAVERMANS statement "We cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice". And he is absolutely correct.

I have lived experiences with the Homeless community here in Central London. Without prejudice she is referring to the Roma community who are trafficked into United Kingdom to commit low-level street crime in, and around the Capital by Romanian and Albanian gangs.

And along with the endless caravan of recruits comes the increasing numbers of encampments, Tents. The Festive period being the busiest time of the year !!!

That's what her statement is referring to. But for obvious reasons she is unable to clarify the statement in fear of prejudices.

I find it hard to believe that even she knew what she was talking about, but what she was referring to is irrelevant. A home secretary should be a good communicator and explain what she's talking about; it's not our job to work out what she means, we can only take what she says at face value. If she meant anything else she should have either said it or shut up.

Calling living in a tent a lifestyle choice is casting a very wide net so the anger it generated is understandable.

And good to see that you don't think Brexit, Ukraine, Covid, world energy prices, world interest rate rises et al never took place.
You honestly have the reading and writing level of a 14 year old. This obvious lack of intelligence is foregrounded by the gross assumptions you make that are simply you trotting out talking points you've read in the right wing press. "Der, don't like Tory, must be Marxist"

This video, from an economics researcher, explains the pickle the Tories created for Britain - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vElaMskCwkY

Watch it, then watch it again, and find someone in the year above to help you understand it.

The last time Britain had a VIBRANT economy was 6 Prime Ministers ago under Tony Blair,
like it or lump it that is a stone cold fact. At the next general election the Tories have to be punished for their long trail of failure.

I did not vote Jezza Labour in 2019 because I know he too would've been a disaster in power.
Vibrant economy? ... they took the position the Conservatives handed over to them and spent all the money as evidenced by themselves!

Glad Coffeecup's gone as well.
Please can you stop with the infantile name-calling on every other post. It's beyond tedious now, and miles beneath the level of 99.99% of this forum.

You have got your facts WRONG FF

Go and look at the economic growth under Blair and compare to last 13 years and while your there go and look at the debt levels of Blight under Blair and Brown and compare to what we have now.

The global economic recession of 2008 was what undid Brown NOT repeat NOT their policies. A global economic meltdown that engulfed all western nations, remember Ireland?

FF and LeTiss both hardcore Brexiteers I seem to remember how are you enjoying those Brexit benefits?

As for loneliness

I'm an only child, so I've always been a solitary individual. I always enjoyed playing computer games on my own as a kid.

Yes, this is a lonely job, and it's not for everyone
This explains some people's trading mistakes - it's boredom

What I will say about this job though, is that it encourages isolation. I've said this many times on this forum......my greatest respect for Peter Webb is not his incredible green screens, or his energy and drive that has given us Bet Angel - the thing that impresses me most, is that he's been able to maintain a strong and healthy family life too

I've loved this job don't get me wrong, but for many years I became detached from life, and those lifelong friends who I started to forget about
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17386&p=168089&hilit=lonely#p168089

With that post made don't think I want to be taking that arrow out of my quiver to injure anyone .
