Where are all the wasps & bee's...

Usually have 2 or 3 nests in garden but don't think I've even seen more than a handful of wasps so far this year...

edit - I blame the migrants...

Don't know about wasps, but the bees are being eaten by the Asian hornets.

Asian Hornets are migrants! :lol:
Its still weird though - in Scotland there isn't a migrant issue ! (hornets or other)

Californian poppies doing well, but they're flowering more than two months before Remembrance Day. Doubt I'll have one to wear when the time comes.

Just back from Fife holiday. Lots of flora and fauna but the red poppies we stumbled on were incredible. Definition of red.
Didn't even know yellow poppies existed.

They were bright orange on the seed packet. That was the appeal!

I guess they flower later in the fields of France.

The peas are absolutely huge this year, they're the size of spuds! :roll:
