Somebody was trying to manipulate the price at 6's for some reason, but they couldn't hold it and lost control. This led to the big move out. Eventually the price re-established itself.

The 4 pm Hcap Hrd at Ffos Las. Chart of 2nd Fav.

Layed it @ 3.5, 3.6 but the price jolted a fair bit with big back and lay bets pushing each other around. For a while the Backers prevailed and I took the 4 tick red as I felt the backers might get a bit more aggressive.

A few seconds later I'm left laughing in shame.

Most likely the best trade you will get this month, including Cheltenham!

The 3:35 Mdn Hrd at Wincanton.

Mad amounts of money falling like a pile of bricks on the Fav from 3.8 to 2.5

im useless at reading charts and dont use them very much as I just jump straight in no matter what price the market is. Its not a mentalist thing but I know what will happen if I enter my position in the market so I dont want to sit around waiting. The confusing thing with charts though can be early prices when very little volume is matched.

Odd that it happened just before the site went down, although it could be a co-incidence...

It wouldn't surprise me if big moves are sometimes caused by people trying to scare the market into value territory.

In this case, I also wonder whether there had been a gamble on that pushed the price down, and the price started to drift when the move ran out of steam when everyone going short suddenly rushed to close their trades.
