I think if they weren't at home, they would've struggled to get out of the group, so I don't think being at home was a disadvantage.
We would never know that for sure. But what I am trying to say is that 7:1 is a very unusual score for a team at home holding world cup. They were in a kind of euphoria state and did not play their game properly. And I agree they are weak as a team but not that weak to loose 7:1. It was much less phycological preasure for guests Germans .

Yep I thought the same, I have a nice lay bet in at 1.82
I'm going to close this trade..I thought it would have drifted more..
I was thinking earlier that if Holland were to win tonight, the odds on Germany could come back in..and visa versa if Argentina were to win ?

Prelim data from my trading seems to show 2010 had an averaged of £10m per match, but 2014 isn't over £7m yet.

As the comp progresses towards the latter stages, wont the traded amounts go up ie bring the overall average up?
I cant remember what it finished on last night, but i seem to recall it passed £18m?

I think the change in BF's stance in Germany has made a big difference, Peter

There used to be some massive football traders based in Germany

We only have two matches left!

I am talking about pre off as I snap shot the market at that point. I also have IP but haven't looked at that just yet.

According to my odds compilation models, a scoreline of 1-7 was around a 1 in 23,000 chance last night.

According to Paddy Power a fair price was 500-1.

Been trying to avoid Germans all day at work.

If they earned enough, they could rent an address elsewhere, like travelling for work! Perhaps passive german traders and gamblers made the difference..
I know my mentor have found the solution and went back to Betfair.com so could german big football traders, I think...

my guess it that if Argentina wins tonight Germany will win them in the finals. If they loose than Netherlands will win Germans in the final.
Yesterday I felt there was not enough liquidity during inplay so today I got 3beers ready :D
Let's hope we would have another crazy match
