Thanks for the vid Peter and I agree bf should give a clearer explanation for numb skulls like me. It just feels like something is under hand when you can withdraw a couple of quid from a market and close on a thousand appears as in my vid with no inplay delay as my bets are subject to before reaching the market. I'm not sure if your vid was inplay or not Peter?

On your vid in the first 1min or so, when you enter 10quids, why at 1.54 does some money keep arriving also on your side of the book the second you enter? I presume that's also related to xmatching but I can't see how as its offering on the same side of the book. Anyway, I find for some sports them chunky bots to be very helpful, whether real or not! D

I referred to them as Phantom bets because so many times I've gone to take a price, only not to be matched. Fill rate has fallen since the introduction of XM so I don't believe it has been beneficial at all. Where has that money gone, or is it just a case of XM over-inflating reported matched volume figures?

I don't think we really have enough explanations to be confident that we know fully what is happening?

I would imagine BetAngel shows 'virtual bet' data directly from the API, and no longer calculates it internally in the software. Since the new API-NG there's a flag you can turn on/off to retrieve market data including and excluding virtual cross-matching money.

I would assume that if cross-matching is turned off on the market then the API would no longer return virtual bets and therefore BetAngel would not display them.
