A place to discuss anything.

So this guy has apparently been in the business of selling panic for more than a decade, but good to know that he's got some very good advice hidden behind a paywall. For $300 a year it must seem pretty good value, and he's always there to provide private consultation for $500 an hour if needed, on whatever apocalyptic scenario troubles his customers.

Seems like a very nice guy and all, but I'd rather consume information from someone that doesn't actively sell it :ugeek:

Lots of people congregating plus lots of horses. Probably not a good mix considering this new coronavirus originated from an animal. If you owned an race horse what would your thoughts be?

Lets hope it dosent get a hold here.
Thoughts would be if it was transmittable from equine to human, then all racing would be stopped indefinitely until every racehorse/showjumper/eventer could be tested clear and isolated until the incubation period was over.

Have you seen the clouds horses blow after a race on a cold day?

If a disease that is that transmittable by air contact ever crosses the boundaries between equine and man, have your backup trading plans on cricket or tennis ready lads and ladies, cos there won't be many horses left to run!

Still not gonna stop Hendo lifting the trophy though :D :D

I don't know about Liverpool but having watched the vid (which was very interesting) I think the guy quoted as saying this about if 'the Feds' will help the market could stop them!

Italian matches now postponed rather than played behind closed doors.

A bit annoyed that I've caught a little cold a few days ago, worst possible timing to get it. But very little chance of it actually being the beer virus since the last I've left the house is probably somewhere in 2017, so I am not worried.

Since the other virus thread seems to be more trading related thought I'd post a bit more info here.

The fact that the virus can survive for so long on inanimate surfaces coupled with a long asymptomatic period of almost up to a month means that it's near impossible to fully contain it. Risk of community transmissions can only increase in populated area, especially for those that use public transportation and healthcare or work in a public workplace etc, it even makes using ATMs and POS devices unsafe.

Still not a lot of confirmed data on this particular strain but a rough guideline for coronaviruses in the table below.

"They" say it was a precautionary measure as the Olympiacos chairman had met with Arsenal staff and players a week previously.

Following the way the containment process has been implemented so far, the Arsenal players should self isolate for 2 weeks, Portsmouth/WestHam players too (games since then) and all players that have played those teams since, and their families/friends....

Slippery slope/all downhill.....

City's odds on being Premiership winners were back 150, lay 180 after Sunday's defeat to United....

.....now it is 50 & 55 respectively.....

so if the season is cancelled and no more games played, would BF settle this as a dead heat?.........or void all bets......if a dead heat then it could be worth backing Man City???

I'd think they'd void all bets, if it was cancelled there's be all the promotions/relegations and Europe places to sort out and not just from a BF persepective.
