I'm devoting my time to Betdaq now. Meaning that I let my current bots run on betfair, but that business won't be expanded any further.
I also must say that the guys from Betdaq have been far more helpful than they even need be. And the api is quite nice as well. Looks like I've found myself a new girl

Surely if everyone who trades agreed to move to betdaq it would prove such a massive loss for betfair it might make them pull their finger out to provide us with a site that is as stable as it should be. I understand sometimes things can go wrong but it feels like this is a problem that is occurring regularly with betfair. I've never known a site to go down much at all but betfair just seem to always have this problem. Whenever their site provides a service for betting and trading and more importantly in play, they should pull out all the stops to make sure it is as stable as can be and I don't believe they make much of an effort to do that. If they did it wouldn't be happening week in week out. They seem to be producing millions in profit every year and increasing, why can't they provide us with a stable service when its us who make them those millions. I think its time everyone took a stand against them. PROMOTE BETDAQ TO EVERYONE, LETS MOVE TO A PROVIDER THAT CARES FOR OUR BUSINESS. Promote it in all betting forums or any other way you can, lets get everyone traders and betters alike to use betdaq and then maybe we might get the service we deserve

I'm very new to BA although I've been using Betfair for some time, so I may be way off the mark.
But I think what Betdaq needs to primarily attract is not more traders or more big layers. What betdaq needs is just more average punters, punters who'll be betting £5 to £20 per race/match.
The punters are the people who in effect create the commission for Betfair (and they create the PC charge also).
They're also the people who create money for traders by putting on their bets at whatever the current back price is, even when that price is looking likely to move any second.

Just to say I did e mail Betfair "customer Sevice" and received three of the most arrogant replies I have ever seen, over the last few days. Apart from avoiding the whole issue of what happened in the Man U v Arsenal game they have since sent me marketing email as well as a "customer satisfaction" questionairre.
I know I am a bit sore for losing the £200 BUT salt is rubbed in when a complete abdication of responsibility follows......... all I can say is most obvious robots are not just in betting exchanges - they work for them as well. £200 waved bye bye!
