Things are pretty desperate nowadays i would say ,
very little real money, diabolacal fill rates, strange random price movements, the P.C, cross matching.
plus the fact your position in the que seems to be no longer guaranteed :( .

It makes short term trading damn near impossible for me at least,

i tend to now take a much longer term view on a market and am doing quite well,
but it's not what it used to be thats for sure.

better for me......but this is the first day I have turned off all distractions and actually concentrated just on the markets rather than having half an eye on them whilst messing around with other things. They've been thin though!

Volumes haven't been very good today.

I'm generally sticking to my mantra of not doing Mon & Tue's this year and focusing on other things. Had an event at the office today though so here and nosing around the markets and messing around with some automated stuff.

It's also difficult to take the right price. I don't need to wait the queue because I select 3-4 horses in one race to achieve 2,2 to 3 value all togheter and usually take the price offered. On Ascot 2,45 ( Miller wharf) and Haydock 3,05 ( Indico blues) I could not take the price (Back) whatsofever. I tryed 10.0, it dropped to 9,8- tryed 9,8 it dropped to 9,6 to 7,4...so did Miller wharf...In the end i got nervous and layed both horses @ 7,4, both came last I think...

P.S. I may back all the horses 1 hour in advance...that should work...
