I had an old xj6 once, fantastic motor, loved the interior mood lighting. I only paid 1500 for it and it ended its days going to a scrapy to banger race at Wimbledon. Not the only one, I had a Granada estate that I gave £300 for and it ended up banger racing as well. Probably worth about 12 grand now.

When I was 17 I walked the Cleveland Way with my brother, a 95-mile footpath around Yorkshire. We were always behind schedule and often had to knock on doors to ask if there were any bed & breakfast houses in the village. Being Londoners, you can imagine our shock when elderly couples invited us in, gave us tea and biscuits or cake, phoned the local B&Bs and sometimes even gave us a lift!
Where we were from, if you knock on an elderly person's door (old people as we called them then) they'd be more likely to call the police than open it.
That "lunatic" expects a reward in the future.
Only solution to our problems is a democratic change of government. It's clear that persisting with the current government is ridiculous. My worry is Labour are no better, but at least the reality of a Labour government would shake the Tories out of their smug ineptitiude.

I'd like a government (with a majority) that can actually pass any kind of contentious law without squabbling.
But let's face it the run up to the next election is going to cost the general public far more than the MP's that will lose their MP status and head off to some lucrative future.
It's up to us to hold MP's to account. If we don't it's our fault. That's the deal.

Well what we're seeing is rebellion. The fact that the Tories have a healthy majority seem to have been ignored recently.
Bascically, we have voted for this s**t show for 13 years. Suck it up. I bet 50% of any picket line will true blue tories. Sod 'em!
Sooner they're gone the better. When you vote, think about what you're voting for. And voted for in the past but has not been delivered (brave new post brexit-world, for example).
flipping hell, what a turn up!!!Derek27 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 9:15 pmI haven't had a double-yoke egg for about 30 years.andy28 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 8:59 pmWhat's going on with eggs? In about the last 5yrs prior to December I have seen 2 double yokes, then December I see two, then this month I am 10 eggs into my dozen and there has been 3, 30% so far. There is a chicken shortage here so you have to wonder if something is happening in the background. I am thinking some of these chickens will look like The Rock
