I have lernt there is not such thing as anti-football. I never liked the obsessive Guardiola tiki taka, I could also express my self by saying that is also a form of anti-football but, I dont... I remember in 2008-09 I saw the best Man Utd ever all season but their scoring records, if I remember correctly was the lower then in recent years..Euler wrote:Chelsea approach big matches is like a python squeezing the life out of a baby pig

I think Van Gaal is a bit low at 1.25 for next United manager. It's as if the market thinks that it's a done deal, but unless people in the know are betting on him being the next manager, I don't see how that level of certainty is warranted.
Also, if United play with passion and fluidity in their remaining games this season, I can see Giggs being made the manager, particularly as Fergie is only a phone call away if Giggs ever needs advice. In addition, with Giggs United know they have someone who is respected by the players and who is a fan of an attacking style of football.
Any thoughts?

There was a £2k backer in the market nearly all day yesterday taking 1.26 - 1.29, there is a £10k chunk that has just appeared at 1.30 looking to lay!
I think they are still negotiating and it is not a done deal.
As for Giggs, I just do not see them taking such a huge gamble and even if they win their final games 5-0 and play like Barcelona it will still only be papering over the cracks, massive surgery required and I am not convinced that Giggs would be the man to implement that.
If Real fail to get through tonight I can see CA odds coming right back in.

yeah, my thought is why does everyone assume that Giggs will make a good manager just because he was a good player and played at Man U his entire career?
Fergie was just a phone call away for Moyes too and it didn't do him any good. Fergie's last decision at Man U was to recommend Moyes for the job; not his best.
it wasn't so long ago that Giggs was booed off the pitch at Old Trafford... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 791375.stm
I hope Giggs does get the job - it will be very interesting to see what happens after a couple of defeats. he'll be asking for Rooney's hair clinic number.

Surely they wont give Giggs the job? They'll go for someone with experience who will please the shareholders.
I think part of the reason they sacked Moyes when they did was because they had some easy fixtures for the last 4 games and didn't want to have to sack him if he won them.
Giggs can do his own standing good just by letting the dog off the lead and letting them attack these last few games. I wouldn't be surprised he didn't win 3 or 4, get replaced by someone more experienced, and then end up as manager of Norwich or somewhere like that

Is the "Giggs" thing not a little like the "Shearer" thing with Newcastle and we all know how that ended

EXCLUSIVE: Van Gaal will be appointed Man United manager next week

need juv and benfica to score ,
im in way too deep on this one,
im in way too deep on this one,
That shows that Rooney isn't the sharpest tool in the box!
Maybe Rooney is concerned about having a manager who doesn't grossly overestimate his abilities.
BTW, I was just reading about Van Gaal on Wikipedia, and this doesn't bode well considering what happened last time United's players didn't get on with their manager:
'Van Gaal expressed that it was difficult to implement his football philosophy at Barcelona due to cultural differences, and that he struggled hard as some players were unwilling to follow his lead.'
I really hope Giggs gets the job.
