Giggs will be the biggest flop since bitcoin hit 1100.
One of the great things about being a United fan is that you constantly get to prove the naysayers wrong!
OK, this season was an exception, but long-term we're ahead of the curve, whether it's scoring 2 goals in the last five minutes of a must-win match or winning the Premiership in a season when people (including on this forum) have said that United are a spent force.

Giggs use to live not far from my mum and dad and i use to see him in the news agent buying viz and the sun to look at dani behr tixx when he was about 28. His brains are in his balls!
Hes not confident enough in my opinion to be a leader of rich young kids who need a strong leader.

I commend him on his taste!steven1976 wrote:Giggs use to live not far from my mum and dad and i use to see him in the news agent buying viz and the sun to look at dani behr tixx when he was about 28. His brains are in his balls!

I don't get the impression that he's lacking in confidence, but what's the alternative? Apparently Moyes tried the hairdryer treatment, but that didn't work.steven1976 wrote:Hes not confident enough in my opinion to be a leader of rich young kids who need a strong leader.
There's a lot to be said for the Sven Goran Erikkson type manager who doesn't lose his rag with players, but simply politely lets them know what he wants and expects from them. If you try to bully a multi-millionaire, there's a risk that he'll just think 'F*** off' and put in the minimum of effort (as may have happened with Moyes).

I think van gof will do okay. He will paint clear instructions but i imagine hes getting on a bit. The obvious choice to me to go all out for is Simeone. Hes took an average team to the brink of greatness?

Man utd still have the option to get rid of Rooney or not?
J.Mourinho has always been a fan of him, right?

I don't know.
I guess if United and Rooney both want the move then it could happen, but I'd be surprised if Chelsea would be willing to pay Rooney £300,000 a week. He's one of the world's best players, but he's not Lionel Messi or Kaka...

Sunderland battered utd. Should have been 3-0. Funny seeing a half empty stadium before the end of the game at old trafford with everyone running to catch the 5pm train to Euston
I think some United players have egos bigger than their talent. Hopefully those players won't be there for much longer. Fergie didn't tolerate players who thought they were bigger than the club, and neither will Van Gaal.

Looking at the crowd at the end of the game, the cleaning lady will be thinking shes bigger than the club soon.

History repeats itself very often and we usually learn nothing from it.
Man U were managed by Sir Matt Busby from 1945 to 1969 (24 years) in which they were successful. When he went they messed about with various mamangers and ended up getting relegeted in 1974 (I remember it well).
Man U were managed by Sir Alex from 1986 to 2013 (27 years) in which they were successful. Now they are messing around with managers again.
No club is guaranteed success however big their name. Patience and loyalty to the manager are required to be successful and going from one manager to another is not the answer.
Imagine if Man U got relegated! I bet nobody here can. Well nobody could beleieve it in 1974 either but it happened.
I don't support Man U but I like them and respect them as a club and I like what they have done for UK football. I really hope they show the next manager more respect than they showed Moyes and once again get a manager for the long term.

I hear what you're saying, but things just weren't working out under Moyes, and that wasn't going to change.
Do you think his scrappy, defensive long ball game was suddenly going to start producing results if he'd been given more time and allowed to pay way over the odds for more players?
And do you think that the players who loathed him would suddenly start playing to the best of their ability under him?
I don't.
Sometimes a new manager can make a huge difference. Look how well Liverpool have done under Rodgers, or how well Chelsea are playing how the Special One is back. Moyes's appointment was a mistake, and I'm glad that mistake has been corrected.

If you asked me 5 mins ago citeh! Liverpool through and through now! Only joking, wanderers. So have plenty of reason to enjoy the downfall with so many part timers jumping on the band wagon growing up for utd.
