Now it is 30 to back & 40 to lay City for the Premiership.
Just shows the uncertainty of how the next weeks and months will pan out across all aspects of Football, Sport, Life.
If the season does stop now then would / could City honourably concede the title is Liverpool's and even so would BF or other Bookies use any Premier League declaration as definitive and all pay out on a Liverpool win and City as losses - or still void everything.
Equally the same decisions are needed on all other Long Term bets that are going to be adversely affected over the coming months.

The most likely outcome is Euro 2020 will be pushed back a year and the Premier League will be extended. Unless this outbreak is worse in 3 weeks time which will then make things very interesting
Thats my view too then then next year maybe even scrap some of the cups to try and catch up with the lge throughout the season.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 3:03 pmThe most likely outcome is Euro 2020 will be pushed back a year and the Premier League will be extended. Makes the fact you can still back Liverpool at 1.03 even more strange?
I don't believe in 'free money' or backing at very low odds but even if the above wasn't true then Betfair would probably have to void the market which makes 1.03 almost seem like value

If the EFL follows the same ruling, then.....
Championship; Total: 1104 games (888 played) = 80.43%
League One; Total: 1012 games (800 played) = 79.05% *Bury dissolved
League Two; Total: 1104 games (880 played) = 79.71%
One compromise with play off games, could be, to at least play behind closed doors. If no options, then league table stands.

It will be major financial hit for the football clubs, I can see some clubs going under and some good clubs get relegated

Absolute value on backing Liverpool then (odds moved slightly to 1.02) as the worst case is a void bet......City will never win........likely to tie your money up for some though until it is paid out though......
Are these unprecedented circumstances with BF and football seasons potentially being suspended early - or does anyone know of other recent situations like this in other leagues/countries?
I doubt I'll get a definitive answer but I'll ask BF on what will happen if the Premiership all stop now.....

Minefield.Calling a halt to the season would be no less chaotic. That has resulted in discussions taking place inside some Premier League teams over proposals that could be put forward if the season could not be played to a conclusion. One would be to void the season, but there is an acceptance that would cause many of its own problems with Liverpool so close to winning the title.
There would also be the issues of relegation and promotion from the Championship, together with Champions League qualification, which carry huge financial implications for the clubs involved.
One proposal that could be made would be for the top two in the Championship, currently Leeds and West Brom, to be promoted and for 22 teams to compete in next season’s Premier League. The EFL Cup would be postponed for one year to allow extra space in the fixture list and five clubs, instead of three, would be relegated at the end of the season.
Euros are obviously massive logistically, it only makes sense to push it back to 2021 which is hopefully enough time for all sorts of vaccines to be commercially available. That frees up the schedule for the Premier League to be finished behind closed doors if need be, or it can be played out a bit later "instead" of the pre-season period for the new season (which may end up having a delayed start etc).
I'm not surprised that the two clubs who are apparently pushing for the season to be void (according to The Athletic) are the two clubs that arguably had the worst season in Spurs and West Ham (outside the relegation zone on goal difference), they can't possibly do worse with a do-over. You'd think that this delay benefits Spurs who will most likely have their key players back by then, but with Mourinho being an excuse merchant that he is I'm sure he thinks the opposite, that if he doesn't get top 5 with Kane and co back then it sort of ruins his main excuse.
