Imo the community (not just the betangel community) but the whole community could benefit, It would help grow the markets too... Americans do it daily in the stock market, thousands of people go on a YouTube livestream and just trade together, banter together & help each other. One problem is latency but it's more of a real time in the moment "Today's racing" thread. Another issue is people seem to be scared of losing some mystical edge that they have.... holding onto it like "my precious" so any concept of moving forward with the times is instantly squashed.

It's a good idea to a point but I suppose it depends on how exactly it would work. If you had 20 people just chatting away that's one thing but if you have 10 of those people asking how to trade the next race then that's a problem. Imo it would just be full of people who want to be walked though each trade step by step. You talk about 'mystical edges' but if you've worked hard over months or years to get profitable you wouldn't hand your knowledge to the person next to you.

You talk about the stock market but there's no comparison. As the Gamestop story showed if a large group of people got on board at the same time at the beginning then all of them can make money because the stock market can absorb it. If 20 people tried to lay the favourite in the 1st race of the day at 3.60 it wouldn't work.

When some (sometimes myself) dare to post a screenshot of their effort that sets off many on here within the clique. Motives questioned galore ..Shut The F*ck Up is what I say or put them on your ignore list if you don't like it.

I'm not one of those people, I think you should be able to post whatever you want. I think p&l's are a good way to show what's possible and can be encouraging especially to new traders but of course there are people who will not see the point.

the forum is i presume full of experienced pro traders and novices like me ........ the posts in here are a great learning curve for the novice ...... it is daunting and novices will lose more than they win in the quest to find a system that creates a steady turn over ......... what i have learned over the years set your limit if you win your limit send it back to the bank .. that way your playing with what you earned and no damage done ... i have posted for help on a few things and over time managed to get help ... somethings i post i feel they will spot the novice asap but if you dont ask you are stuck on square one :)

Very true, there would be plenty of issues but there usually is with anything. GameStop was a one off but I get what you're saying... I think just like the forum moderates itself, so would a live stream, once one happens there will be pools of them so people will naturally select which one they engage with.

Come off it, we all know you weren't hacked. Take responsibility for what you think, it's not that bad... hell compared to some of my posts you haven't even scratched the surface of tin foil hat... Tin Foil Hat is a good podcast BTW.

Definitely! Some people get a little sensitive and go on the defensive over any subject but so be it... it's just a conversation, we could all have differing views, half the problem comes from not being able to take on board differing views, it's as if we see a difference of opinion as an attack when it really isn't.

I really do think its a good idea if everyone is at the same level or starting out. Problem you'll have is everybody will be looking at any profitable traders to mirror their trades, and that's why I don't think it would attract traders who make decent profits. For them it wouldn't be worth the aggravation in real time imo.

I signed up to a football trading service years ago because it had a very good database. These days anyone can knock up a detailed database but what this guy did was for about €50 a month he would list the matches to trade at the start of the week and he explained everything very well so the majority of subscribers would happily trade these games knowing what to look for and usually be able to make a few quid. But there were others who just wanted to mirror his trades and be told in real time what he was doing and why. This was practically impossible because he could be trading 5-6 matches at the same time and while he tried his best to update everyone in real time through the chat room there were always trades that people missed because he didn't have time to update them. Some people complained that it was all a fix and a waste of money just because for whatever reason they weren't arsed to put the work in themselves.

That's a good example of giving somebody the tools to make a profit but them still not wanting to do any work for themselves and to be walked though everything step by step. They say give a man a fishing rod and he'll feed himself but some people want the fishing done for them.
