Colombian Primera A match delayed due to floodlight failure. They must have scored a goal in the darkness, the score was 1-0 when Bumfair reopened the market!

Reminds me of the floodlight failure betting scandal in the late 90s in the UK - security guard was paid by big betting syndicate to cut the floodlights at half time so all bets would not be paid out but would also not be returned.

After a hard day's trading I usually sleep like a baby - I'm out in 5-10 minutes. Last night I had a one-hour session on my multigym, the first in ages. I felt knackered yet it took me over an hour to fall asleep!

Surely if no winner is declared all bets are voided and thus returned?

You shouldn't workout close to bedtime :) But you can put on some ASMR if you want to fall asleep quickly.

I tried to sign up to Google Pay only to find they already had one of my credit cards. The bastards nicked and saved my credit card when i was proving my age - you can't trust anyone online!

Let's just say the bookmaker wasn't the most heavily regulated. Which I guess the fear is if betting goes 'underground' once again with all the affordability checks going on.

I think the protagonists of the scheme were jailed after the security guard ,who was controlling the floodlights with a remote control, gave them up.

Why didn't the audience get up on stage and kick the crap out of the JSO nutters? They paid enough to get in!

I've just been held up at the tobacco kiosk by a woman spending £40 on lottery tickets. Why isn't she subjected to affordability checks? That's not recreational gambling, she's not getting pleasure out of checking her numbers. She gets frustrated and then thinks, what a waste of £40.

My understanding is - a bit more space, some complimentary tat. I've booked standard for £35. £350 vs £35 that's just ridiculous. This country!!!! F*** me!!!!

I've sometimes upgraded to 1st class for just a few quid. My brother-in-law (who's Italian) had the same problem about 20 years ago. Traveling from Edinburgh to London with his family, he had to pay £200 to upgrade to first class. He said in Italy at the time you could travel the length of the country for £12.

I always thought we were at the forefront of technology so it leaves me scratching my head why France, Germany and Japan have had reliable high-speed trains for decades and we can't even connect London to Birmingham. There's been talk of the line stopping short of London. What use is that?

More and more I think we're being hoodwinked in the UK. Ironically, if we looked at the EU we would start to be a bit envious. Anyhow I'd best shut up before I explode.
