Exactly, Israel, is no better than Russia. Steady on guys.
This is far more complex than tit for tat.
I don't like what Netanyahu is doing, it's appalling. His view would (I think) be that Hamas still hide behind civilian Gazans. And the aggression between Hezbollah and Israel is far from new, but it is now amplified and guess who suffers? Non-combatants. These violent selfish people on both sides have an enormous amount of blood on their hands and consciences.

How does anyone know hamas and hezbollah are hiding behind children. Journalists are not allowed in to verify. Israel is openly murdering children while the world sits by and does nothing. Now Israel is attacking UN staff and soldiers, again, the world does nothing.greenmark wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 9:57 amSteady on guys.

Even if they are hiding behind children, that does not give Israel the right to murder children.
Personally, I hope and prey Turkey gets involved.

Netanyahu wants a World War - and the US is his proxy
yeah - i get that there was a need to retaliate over the october 7th attacks but feel that the actions in the days/weeks/year following that allude more to a campaign of hate than anything else.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 10:21 amHow does anyone know hamas and hezbollah are hiding behind children. there is quite a lot of speculation still regarding the 7-8 hours that it took for isreal to respond to the 7th october attacks. there is also evidence emerging regards granting of the licence for the location of the SuperNova festival itself. it's location was literally as far flung from the main centre of isreal as you can get and less than 2 miles from the border with Gaza.
i'm not going to speculate, but it all just doesn't add up (archery, would welcome some good old home grown conspiracy theory on this one

I'm dim. Israel's actions now make no sense to me. As Firlandsfarm said early on this Israeli aggression is a recruitment vehicle for Hamas and Hezbollah.jimibt wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 10:35 amyeah - i get that there was a need to retaliate over the october 7th attacks but feel that the actions in the days/weeks/year following that allude more to a campaign of hate than anything else.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 10:21 amHow does anyone know hamas and hezbollah are hiding behind children. But perhaps Israeli's live under the threat on a daily basis. It seems like Netanyhu (pushed by the right wing) has snapped and decided to attack rather than defend.
That won't work. Only diplomacy will solve this. Chances? In my lifetime? Zero. So much hate and negative agenda involved.
As Euler said "What a mess".

If you want a conspiracy then....
- When econmomies are suffering, one industry always increases its income, profit and workforce as long as there is a major conflict somewhere in the world.
Have a look at the stock prices for defence companies in UK, Europe, Russia, India, Israel, China and North America between 2019 and 2024. I think I am right in saying that they have all pretty much doubled in price.
Hence the saying, "one man's meat is another man's poison"
While I am no fan of Labour, I am sure Sir Keir would gladly stop all arms sales to Israel based on morales and ethics alone. But the problem is those sales raise money for the UK treasury and help employ hundreds of thousands directly and via supply chains.
I am not knocking the UK as Canada does it too but indirectly, we are all helping the murder of children. And when its put like that then it makes me feel sick watching the news.
All wars and conflicts are bad but at least the Falklands war was just man against man, some better trained than others but children were not destroyed by the press of a button.
Israel is ranked 17th in the wolrd militarily and 5th in the world for defence intelligence. I too find it rather strange that they can put pagers holding explosives in the hands of its number 1 enemy without them knowing but couldn't prevent October 7. It just doesn't add up any way you look at it. Mossad as spies working for Hamas and Hezbollocks plus those they detain and regularly torture to get information from. Its worth noting that Netanyahu has delayed the enquiry into October 7 and now says it will happen after Hamas, Hezbollocks and all Israel's enemies are destroyed. Well, good luck with that, probably in 1,000 years time. He is trying to hide something to his own people and the rest of the world.
Right, conspiracy talk over for now. Off hunting with yet another new rifle.

I think the morality of weapon production does align with with the debate I've had with Archery before about gun control in the US. Basically it's not the weapon but the user you need to worry about. We've been flogging weapons for as long as they've been around, and we are very good at it. What customers chooose to do with them is nowt to do with us, although I believe we do have limits about who we sell to.
