Pretty certain he said it tongue in cheek becoming a bookiemegarain wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2017 11:53 pmI am tired of the number of times I hear/read this absolute shit.
If its so easy to become a bookie etc ..
Just make sure, u have a lazy 10k, for the equipment, 10k for an average pitch (per racecourse), then, work in, your daily expenses are
200 quid+, to maybe take 4000, at 10% margin, on a shitty meeting.
A top 3 pitch at Wolvo, costs 25k .. to take, even on a friday night, 3-4k, if u are aggressive. The industry needs 5 bookies present, to return
an industry sp .. often, they are literally begged to be there, or there will be industry issues. Bookies dont want to not go, cos they hate money.
They dont want to go, becos its shit.
If u have 7 men and a dog in front of u, who couldnt raise 300 quid between them if u shook them upside down, it doesnt matter if u put the fav
at 5/2, or 4/1 .. no one cares.
have to agree mate. pretty dead but still pinched a couple quid!dragontrades wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2017 2:04 pmFist race at windsor the fill rate seemed very poor to me

14.20 Redcar all the runners were very volatile as expected except this one which had a few grand over a few prices either side of the book stacked up.

Bit late to this, these charts look interesting but I'm not exactly sure what the relationship is, would someone please be able to enlighten me? Or perhaps point me in the right direction...

Fully expected this to be heavily bet so backed accordindly early, eventually could see the drift wasn't stopping and the gamble was real on Berkshire Downs so managed to get out decent enough green via the gamble. Could of done much better on the gamble but wrong mindset to try and do things perfect. Only look for solid swings racing markets this I earmarked as rock solid steamer!

ditto, I backed this at around 2.00 & took a small loss, really thought it would reverse at evensinvisiblelayer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2017 4:05 pmOnly look for solid swings racing markets this I earmarked as rock solid steamer!![]()
