Not if two people can organise it, or five from the same household.

https://www.theatlantic.com/science/arc ... us/608338/Thats something that leapt into my head a few days ago. Evolution you'd think will sustain the virus, it's already done a great job of emerging and surviving.Since the start of the pandemic, the virus hasn’t changed in any obviously important ways. It’s mutating in the way that all viruses do. But of the 100-plus mutations that have been documented, none has risen to dominance, which suggests that none is especially important. “The virus has been remarkably stable given how much transmission we’ve seen,” says Lisa Gralinski of the University of North Carolina. “That makes sense, because there’s no evolutionary pressure on the virus to transmit better. It’s doing a great job of spreading around the world right now.”[/quote]
But being enough of a threat to mobilise humanity against you.
Thats a baaaad idea!!
Oh FFS !!!

Are the number of people dying from covid-19 increasing at an exponential scale? You might want to inform the WHO organisation of your findings.
I'm at a loss as to the reasoning for now, though we will find out in time, technically I guess you could say its conspiratorial for me or anyone to suggest something has been done for malevolent reasons but then whether or not thats a negative thought process depends on your own interpretation of the word. Personally all the normal connotations 'conspiracy' conjures doesnt put me off questioning things ie somebody saying 'well if you believe X then obviously you must believe Y and therefore X is discredited'.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 9:47 pmYou said the reaction was unnecessary. If you're right that means those doing it either have something to gain or have been deceived by people that have something to gain.
Major crimes have been committed against populations throughout history in the name of power-grabs or more likely in this case asset-grabs while the price of everything is deflated.
Also goodbye to the greyhound racing I guess (!)

At least you're safe from Covid-19.
Check the chart at the top of this page. It certainly isn't increasing in a linear fashion:marketraisen wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:43 pmAre the number of people dying from covid-19 increasing at an exponential scale? You might want to inform the WHO organisation of your findings.

Also, look at the same "Total Deaths" chart (orange) for Italy and the UK.

It was always going to be exponential. Viruses or even the spread of gossip are exponential funtions. And because of that, altering the transmission rate has a massive possitive (or negative) affect on future outcome. This is aincient maths so not up for dispute, it was the basis of the calculation of how many messengers each Roman messenger needed to pass news onto, to get information across the Empire in a reasonable time. Having your own opinions is fine, but if you've got your own maths you either need a Nobel prize or a maths lesson.Ethanol wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 11:48 pmCheck the chart at the top of this page. Technically you're right, it's not an exponential curve (Well it is at the moment) but it will become a sigmoid curve. Pot-aye-toe, po-tat-oh I hear you say but if you want a good conspiracy theory...
A logistic function or logistic curve is a common "S" shape (sigmoid curve), with equation: where. = the natural logarithm base (also known as Euler's number), = the -value of the sigmoid's midpoint, = ...
Euler is behind it all. Peter is the virus. Peter doesn't wash his hands, pass it on.
In all seriousness, hope you are all safe, healthy and staying indoors!

We all have choices....

Son went thru Heathrow last night. (leaving)
Place was pretty deserted, but the plane 75% full of oldies trying to get back to a foreign country.
Son is super fit, 20 yr old. He coughed ... and immediately got moved to a row of 3 seats by himself.
He thinks he had the virus at University, maybe 3 weeks ago, as his mates had it .. but was never tested. Just had a slight temp for 6
days, and then fully recovered.
Def an Advantage Play.
//
On arriving at foreign country, plane boarded by testers with Hazmat suits. Unclear if they will quarantine everyone, or just those who they test (or will they test everyone ?) .. awaiting news.
//
Passed temperature tests, and allowed to catch another internal flight.

Very confusing messages pumped out, last night they said only key workers to go to work only to delete it across all social media platforms and then change to you can go to work! That's why loads carrying on per normal today even though clearly not key workers. Crazy
