Automation question.

I frequently back three horses in a race each for a one unit level stake. I then add the first and second favourites if they are not included in the original three selections. I appreciate that it it is simple to automate my initial selections but can I automate the process of backing the first and second favourites if they are not already selected? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
