It amazes me how any newbie to Bet Angel isn't left totally confused after reading the manual?

Take the page Trade Profit column and greening up.
The narrative goes like this: "In the first illustration you can see the Betfair P&L is a mixture of red and green below each selection. This shows that we have backed and laid two selections in the market. At a glance it is very difficult to understand what your true position is in the market. In the column however you can see very clearly that you are up £10 on the first selection and down £10 on the second selection."

When you look at the first illustration it shows Charolly Pearl green $50 and the rest -$4??? Nothing to do with the narrative.

No wonder there's so many '0' replies on this newbie thread. The manual didn't help, or the Forum....

So, it's not just 'ozmium' where your posts are ignored.

But you're correct. The user guide is not exactly user friendly. It's no doubt written by people who have used BA for years and they just don't see what the newbie sees.

For £29.95 you could purchase Bet Angels 'How to use Bet Angel' course, although some may question the legitimacy of being charged £30 for an instruction manual when you've already forked out £150 for the annual subscription.

It's helpful that you point out the errors, so we can correct them so thanks for that.

You are under no obligation to pay for a guide. It's just there for people that want extra tuition. We will happily improve the user guide when people make relevant suggestions.

Seem sure of your facts Rinoa, there's been at least 3k in replies and 150k in views of my threads over a couple of years. I must've upset you somewhere during that period? :D

Just joshing Paul, and comparing your own comments of talking to yourself on ozmium (http://www.propun.com.au/racing_forums/ ... ostcount=2 )with a lack of response to your genuine complaint on here.

Have you any plans to update the user guide Peter? It contains information that is now irrelevant since the new API was introduced and the improvements introduced from 1.38 onwards just aren't mentioned. Must be a tad confusing to new subscribers.

It's in progress, I'll update what we have today. I'll admit it's slipped a little so sorry for that.

Cheers for your responses Euler and Rinoa. Thank you for your interest. Euler, I still think you need to consider dragging a newbie off the street and get them to write your manual. It'd cut down a lot of queries IMHO. You've limited the usefulness of your software with the trader bias.

With the turnover tax and low pool sizes in AUS, traders have been almost made extinct. We make our money the hard risk way, which BA has a lot of usefulness for, but it's not promoted on this 'all trader' forum? At least that's how it appears to me. I use BA, in concert with external data sources, to generate Lay signals, and it works brilliantly. My only criticism is that it can't post place getters that some bots do. That costs me 2 hrs a day, manually entering every place getter for every AUS, UK & IRE race each day.

That's gone over my head. Perhaps you can explain a bit more?

Simply put, in the Fix, you'd have another column or two added to Guardians list of races/games and when the API produces the winner/placegetters/draw, it updates adjacent. That can then be exported to excel and be used to update the already copied closing price/vol data.
