Overwhelmed

Hello, I come from a background of Bonus Bagging/Profit Maximiser, but since having most of my accounts closed, I now need to look at other options. I also traded Forex for a year, so I have some idea of chart formations - however, I was only able to break even and eventually gave it up as a bad job.

While some people in the PM community do trade, many advise against it simply because it is so difficult, and multi-accounting PM is more profitable - an option not available to me.

Not only do I not have a strategy, I am struggling to get to grips with the actual software (currently on the trial)/mechanics of executing a trade.

So my initial questions is: how do I set up stop losses/take profit orders? For example, if I entered pre race with a lay bet, how would I set up a back order to trigger at shorter odds and a back order to trigger if the odds drift to lock in? In the case of the latter, can the order be set to 'green up' rather than just create a risk free bet?

You need a strategy, an idea, a hunch. It doesn't need to end up being right, but you have to start somewhere and with something and then work out why your first idea was wrong (or why it works) and tweak and develop from there.

To learn the software, play around in practice mode. When you can't work something out read the manual. That's what it's there for. Watch the videos. There are so many. They are easy to find. You will learn.
