Hey guys,

I have just started tinkering with the Guardian automation and I wanted to put in an automation for a tactic I use on certain markets. That is backing the field a few ticks above their current traded price and then keep the bets in play. Does not work on all markets, but since I am not a big horse trader (more tennis) I really like this to start off.
Now I can put in back all, but that only works at a certain price.
So my question, how (if at all) do I make this happen? Or do I have to make a rule for every row backing at book% then insert custom ticks above best price?

I would like to do it in one line, so if I have to make a change, I don't need to edit 15 lines or so :D

Dont fully understand what it is your exactly wanting to do and what you already know how to do?
Do you want to back all a certain amount of ticks above trading price or SP?
If trading price then when do you want to do this?
Do you want them all at the same number of ticks or some higher than others?
Is it same stakes on all selections?
Is there any exceptions - price to high or low?

I understand your confusion Dallas, let me explain.

I am dutching the field, but I dutch a few ticks above the current best market price. Keep those bets in play and pray all gets matched :P
Now yes, I do have minimum requirements for prices and everything, in fact, I have an automation file that works. But I have a line for every row in the Betfair order:
1. Place back bet on row 1
2. Place back bet on row 2
And so on and so forth.
I was just wondering if I could make a single line that does this for me. Because now, if I want to adjust the number of ticks, or the total price to dutch, I have to adjust 15 lines :)

If your using same stakes and number of custom ticks above LTP for each runner then instead of backing indivdual selections you could use the "Back All" as a rule type this will keep everything on one line and your odds condition can still filter out any that dont fall within the range you want to dutch.

If you want different stakes or tick sizes depending on the prices then unfortuntly you are always going to need multiple lines rather than using individual lines you could group them based on there price range similar to the examples below

Group 1
Back All
Set stake £50
Set 10 ticks above LTP
Condition odds must be under 4.0

Group 2
Back All
Set stake £30
Set 7 Ticks above LTP
Condition odds must be over 4.1 & under 6.0

Group 3
Back All
Set stake £20
Set 5 Ticks above LTP
Condition odds must be over 6.2 & under 10.0

and so on that way altering the stakes or ticks for a price group is quicker and easier than doing indiviual selections.
