Traded volumes at half-time on the OVER markets

Hi, guys!

I'm a newbie here and sorry if the topic has been discussed before, but I just couldn't find an answer to a question that I have in connection with some traded volumes in the Betfair OVER/UNDER markets during in-play.
It has happened several times to me that immediately after the half-time break (seconds after it), a relatively big lay bet (in comparison to the currently matched volume) appears, waiting to be matched. For example, yesterday I was following Sportivo Belgarano's game from the Argentine Primera B Nacional. The game wasn't televised and I don't think it's that popular. However, at 0-0 Ht score, a 20000EUR lay bet was matched on the OVER 1.5 goals market. I have witnessed the same amounts (and bigger) being matched in the Polish 1st Division and in the Japanese 2nd League, and in several other competitions. The lay bets always appeared soon before the 2nd half began or immediately after it had started. Those bets did not have any predictive value because, for instance, in the Belgarno's game there was only one goal scored. Nevertheless, it is intriguing to me what kind of money is this? Are these bookmakers hedging excessive bets taken on OVER at half time or traders self-matching? I am not doing trading on Betfair and I am not very much into the specifics of it, so my question may seem trivial to some you. Sorry for that and thanks in advance for taking time to clarify this point for me.
