Can someone confirm that "Checkpoint Matched Bets" as a rule type in the guardian rules editor is Bet Angel forcing a call to Betfair for the latest matched bets data? Or does it do something else?

Checkpoint Matched Bets
Checkpoint matched bets - It creates a 'checkpoint' to effectively reset the matched bets count and amounts with regard to the Automation conditions. It's useful if you want run a scenario multiple times.
e.g. If you've got a rule that opens a trade when only £0.00 have matched and closes it when 1 bet has matched. Previously, if you'd wanted to run that again you'd have to create another rule that opens when 2 bets are matched and close when 3 are matched. And then another to open when 4 are matched and close when 5 are matched. etc etc.
Now by applying the 'Checkpoint' you make the rule think that there are 0 matched bets and £0 matched. Allowing the same rule to run again with the same trigger criteria.
It's particularly useful for tennis trading where the same points advantage can occur game after game. So if you were trading a 30-15 scoreline, you could green up at 0-0, checkpoint at 15-0 or 0-15 and then be setup to place a bet at 30-15 if the total amount currently matched was £0 (which now compares the checkpointed matched amount rather than the absolute value)
Checkpointing will not damage the Green All Selections routines, so you'll still be able to cleanly exit the positions when required.
As well as adding 'Checkpoint Matched Bets' as a rule for your Automation Rule file, we also added it to the Automation tab at the bottom of Guardian. This allows you to manually Apply a checkpoint and rearm a rule as required during an event.
