I'm still familiarising myself with the software in training more. I've been doing my best to, systematically, work through the tutorial videos and copy the various examples.
Today, I traded the 14.00 @ Lingfield Park, using the basic idea shown in the "trailing stop" video. However, I changed the offset to 1 tick and managed to get a few bets matched on the favourite (Sahalin) to hypothetical stakes of £10. "Greening box" ticked and the bets greened up as they should.
The race went "in play" and I opened up In Play Trader. During the race, I formed the opinion that Dylantelle (6.5) wasn't going to win so I fired in a lay bet. The offset back bet was matched much higher than 1 tick.
The end result was that upon completion of the race, I had made 15p on every horse apart from Dylantelle who showed a £7.15 profit. However, I think the 15p was from the pre-play matched bets. Should the £7 profit have been hedged across all runners or, did my "in play" lay bet cause a blip in the software?
Not greening up
inplay the market is a lot more volatile, therefore your back bet got matched at a higher price than expected resulting in a larger profit if your selection won.
To counter this you could have greened up once the back was matched to spread the profit accros the runners but getting an even profit inplay is difficult and sometimes not worth it.

Thanks Linus. I understand that trading in play will, often, result in getting matched at a price better/worse than anticipated.
The main point of my post was to enquire why my "in play" matched bet didn't green up, automatically, across all runners when I had the "greening" box ticked. Pre-play trading was no problem. It greened up perfectly.
Any further suggestions please?

As LinusP said - the reason you had an uneven profit despite betangel attempting to green up was that when the "greening bet" appeared in the market the price had already moved a lot higher.
Greening up at higher odds requires lower stakes.
You asked Betangel to greenup 1 tick higher and so it calculated the stake needed at that price and sent that stake to Betfair - whether this would actually result in an even profit would depend on what happens when betfair processes the order.
That calculated greening stake would only give an exactly even profit if it was matched exactly one tick higher.
As it was it got matched a lot higher which resulted in a higher profit for that runner.

The online log is now empty. I've looked through the BA program, on my PC, but cannot find a log file listed.

Thank you Tanden. I understand what happened now.
