Hello, Bet Angel
I've been match betting for the last 5 months and just recently I have heard a couple of people mentioning Sports Trading I've been doing a lot of googling research etc. But everything seem's to be out dated 2008-2012, Is this still viable and are people making decent returns on there investment?
As a Newbie could someone point me in the right direction for some training and tips? I do like the idea of laying the draw seems to be the main way for football trades and would like to start there.
Any help will be great.
I'm new

Hi. You can start by watching the videos there, you'll get a better understanding of sports trading in general if you watch all kinds of videos on that channel, not just football related. You should also browse this forum for similar newbie threads, you can find a lot of useful guidelines for newcomers.

Hello Hydie,
It's very important to have an exit plan when it comes to trading. At what point are you going to accept a loss and bail out, as opposed to letting it run until you've done your bollocks?!
Laying the draw is fine, but what's your plan when a match is still 0-0 after 75mins?

Best advice on Exit stratergies is just make sure you have one, they are down to individual preference based on how and what your trading, the reason many new traders fail is because they enter a trade without any exit stratergy so when things goes wrong end up just sitting there like a rabbit in the headlights where as a experienced trader knows at what point and curcumstances they will close a trade and move on.
To look at LeTiss 4pm's senario your hyperthetical exit strategy could be if there is no goals after 70 mins you will close the trade unless there has been over 10 shots on target in which case you will hold on till the 80th min at which point the trade will be closed regardless.
Also if there is a strong favourite and the dog scores early then the draw odds will either remain about the same or even come in a bit further putting you in a negative situation with a 0-1 scoreline so you need to have a plan of what to do if this situation arises.
In many instances your exit stratergy can be more important than your entry.

A lot will come down to personel preference and the level of risk you are prepared to take. Above all though make sure that on each trade your maximum loss is a low fixed amount of your trading bank (i suggest 1% normally, maybe 2% max). This way your thinking will remain clear and you can stick to you pre-planned exit strategy.
When i first started trading football i found that trading the over under 2.5 goals was easiest for planning out clear exit strategies. I normally look for suitable matches to go 'under' and the i have the price decay working for me from kick-off. If goeals go in then i have decisions to make.
Watch Peter's video for more (and better) advice.

Keep it controlled, and enjoy the process. Its great fun.
