I used betangel pro some time ago, but as i was only really using the ladder interface to trade i started using free trading software instead, the free trading software is no more. I thought bet angel trader software looked like the way to go but have a problem with the ladder interface.

If I have a backed a horse and then return to the market to lay off the bet on the ladder interface i don't how much to lay, the bet history box just has a list of all the bets, not really practical to add up, if my memory is correct the pro version i used previously had the profit calculator embeded in the ladder screen and would show how much to lay. The software I am currently using has a green up stake column in the ladder. Am I missing something obvious, any help appreciated as the bet angel software is my preferred way to go.

If you just want to lay the same amount (and not hedge your position) click on the net figure at the top of the ladder to the right of your stake buttons then place it at the odds you want

If you want to exit by hedging on the far left of the ladder is your profit and loss colum, clicking on this figure places the correct amount needed to close your trade for that profit or loss at those odds.
If its not turned on click on the spanner icon then ladder tab and tick "show trading profit colum"

I dont use the trader version but from memory i think the calculator (+,1 & -) icon is only avalible on the professional version

Hi Dallas, thanks for your quick reply, i guess you have answered my question. I prefer to manually place lay bets on the ladder, the calculator would show how much I had to lay and it's not available in the trader version. As I only really use the ladder interface it's not practicle to pay for the pro version. Basically looking at the ladder interface in the trader version just doesn't show what position I have in the market. Bit gutted, thought i was heading back to the bet angel software, have to stick with what I have. Thanks again.

Not sure what you mean by not showing your position, the ladders are the best place for this infomation and contain everything - the net figure shows how much you currently have on that selection the P&L at the top of the ladder shows your current status if you where to exit at that moment, this is also shown down the trade profit colum at every price point so you can see what it would be when the price reaches specific odds and you can exit at that time or in the future with a single click.

Also to open a calculator then manually type the odds to get the amount needed all thats doing is just taking the information thats already displayed in the profit colum of the ladder. The only benefit of the calculator is when using one of the grid screens where the p&l for prices other than the current trading one is not shown.

Everyone obvioustly has there own way of trading and if that works for you then you should stick to it but personnally think there is a much easier way than how your doing it

Looking at matched bets is bit of a nonsense and unnecessary, all you need to do is look at net stake and that will tell you how unbalanced your trade is on either side.
