I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Betfair are now including your full postal address on the CC processing account section.

This means that if you transfer money to/from a bank account, Betfair are publshing (transmitting accross the web) your address just to make it easier for fraudsters to clone your card details.

I have written to Betfair and I suggest you do the same to express your concerns.

From recent breaches of security of 'reputable' companies lately, I wouldn't worry about it because if anyone wants your details, they will get them. (a certain national gas supply company is the latest to have problems.)
Just keep little money in the account you use to send money to (and get lots from!) BetFair. You can get a 'basic' bank account anywhere.
As a general tip for paying bills, use bank transfer to an account of the person you are paying. Any company that has a bank account can support this facility, so your card details are listed nowhere; it is account to account and all online banking sites support this method.
Finally, trust no-one. Security begins and ends with you.
So endeth the lesson for today.
After all that preaching, I will probably find my account emptied!
