All i want to trade from something a bit less bulky than my laptop when out and about even in break times at work. Is it better to get a I pad or a windows tablet, the plus about the I pad from one of Peters earlier videos is that you always have a 4G signal apparent where with a Windows tablet you have to pair with your phone, but I am confused re the loading of BA on a I pad can anyone shed some light, do I need VPS

As far as im aware there is still no app for BA so you need to run via VPS on a Ipad, as you say you do get built in 4g on a Ipad but unless you already subscribe to VPS to will need this as well.
Another option could be to get a touchscreen laptop/tablet (where you can detatch the screen from the keyboard) and run a normal version of BA on this.
I have BA installed on one of these and a Wifi dongle so when out and about can access BA this way (it also serves as my backup if my home internet goes down).
