Race Status API

I've noticed that Betfair's Race Status API has been released now. This should tell you how close the race is to starting. Unfortunately the documentation doesn't link to a list of the possible statuses.

Does anyone know how reliable the Race Status API is for keeping track of when the race is about to start? I would assume this would be a really useful feature for BetAngel for people without pictures.

We have looked at this already and bless Betfair it's not a simple implementation. So something on the list, but unable to be dropped it.

- it's not fantastically helpful for predicting the start of a race though - unless I'm missing something, they're not yet providing UNDERORDERS between ATTHEPOST/GOINGBEHIND and the race being suspended prior to the off.

They do seem to have made it as awkward as possible to implement by expecting people to use the meetingId and race time rather than just use the marketId or including it within the usual market data requests. I guess it must have something to do with where they're actually getting the data from for them to set up a completely new request.
