Hello everyone

Another day, another stupid question from myself! I'm working on setting up some in running rules and I have the following query/scenario.

There is a two runner race between Novelty Bobble and Christ's Chin.

When I place my back bet pre-off, I set the Applies to selection in position 1 (sorted in order of favouritism) i.e. I back the favourite who is Novelty Bobble.

Now, when this goes in play, this Novelty Bobble may drift with Christ's Chin taken up favouritism. Therefore, if I were to place a close the trade on the selection, Applies to selection in position 1, would this close the trade against Novelty Bobble (who is no longer favourite) or Christ's Chin (who is now favourite)?

Essentially, when a market goes in play, does the sorted by order of favouritism remain static with that of the SP or is it dynamic and permanently moving in play?

Apologies if that doesn't make sense.

You could use the available rule: "Fix the Order of market selections", and then they'll remain static.

How on earth did I miss that?! Thank you very much weemac.

I'm assuming you just stick that rule in towards the top and then everything below that follows suit?

That's what I do, but the more important thing is to think about the time till the off that you fix the order in relation to when you back selection 1, because with too long a gap, it might no longer be favourite.

Ok great.

Yes I was considering the timings. A little bit tricky that considering I was going to take the SP of a given selection. I think I'll just play around with that in practice mode and see what happens.

Thanks for the pointers.
