Hi everyone, I would like to know if you consider it possible to trade these UK markets without the tv images.

I live outside the UK and I can't see the races unless I sign a sattelite service and I relly solely on the betfair video. :?

Sometimes it's really hard to time my entry in the market, but more than that, I think I'm facing a huge handicap, as I can't base my decisions on the horses playing up, etc.

Do you base many decisions on the images?

For those who live outside the UK, do you use sattelite dishes?

Thank you all for your replies (optmistically supposing I'm getting some of those :D )and again, please excuse my poor english.

I trade with ATR on TV but on mute and I listen to music, I rarely look at it to be honest and there has been days I've traded without it altogether so I would say yes without doubt you can still trade without the pics.

I know most will say I'm missing opportunities but I find it more relaxing listening to music while I trade. Biggest problem to me with no pics would be not realising when a race is delayed and no seeing when they are about to run.

I've often traded from airport lounges, hotels, cafe's, the car and all manner of places where I didn't have access to pictures, so I think it's perfectly possible. I traded from a laptop on these occasions, so I couldn't see pictures but I would listen to commentary just so I could hear if there were any problems on course.

Pictures can help some people for sure. Yes, you will miss out on the odd sharp movement and wonder why it happened but it's still perfectly possible. I've started using Betfair live video on the odd occasion, even though it is delayed.

Thank you for your replies.

It's very rewarding to notice you spend time helping others ;)

I'm trying to solve this whole 'trading puzzle' and I found that I have been opening positions at 'non-tradable' times. I just looked at the BetAngel's clock and started trading...

Must agree, patience is a virtue :)

Thank you again
