What could be the reason of low refresh rates?

Any betfair software should give the quickest 5 refresh rate per second but i only receive around 3-4.

1) slow computer
2) slow internet
3) connecting to betfair from asia
4) all of them

The signal has to travel thousands of miles to reach Betfair servers.

If you connect to the UK from Aus it can be around 400ms refresh so lucky to get three a second.
