Can someone point me in the right direction please.

I need an approximate guide to how long certain races last (ie a mile flat would be around 1 minute 42 seconds).

I could follow Betfair, follow many races....but could someone point me in the direction of saving time please?

I have been working on standard times for many many many years. I still am.

If your looking to know how that before a race then you will struggle.

For example the first race at Fakenham today is advertised and listed as 2 miles.
If yo check all sources online it will state the same but this actually happened

"There was a fresh two-yard strip of ground the whole way around on the hurdles course. The official race distance had an additional 113 yards added to it."

So in fact it was 2 miles 113 yards not 2 miles. This information is not accessible before the race really.

The rail is moved almost everyday on every race course throughout the country. Given in accurate times on a daily basis.

I have a simple document with a list of Racecourse standard times which you are welcome to have if you like. Updated February 2015.

Let me know if you would like a copy.
