Betting Increments

I have noticed in Peter's videos he uses bets of $128, $256, $512 I understand that you get these amounts by doubling numbers from one up. Is there a reason for using them rather than round numbers like 100, 200, 300 and so on.

If you use round numbers in a market your position is more likely to be spotted by others.
