=LAY OFFSET:1 FILL_KILL:TRUE KILL_DELAY:60 STOP:3 TRAILING_STOP:TRUE WITH_GREENING:TRUE

This is the one example command given in the advanced order scripting page of the user guide, there is virtually no explanation of what each setting does or in what context they should be used. I have been searching the forums for over an hour trying to find example commands that I can cannibalise for my own ends but all I have found are people asking the same question as me, going unanswered. Or the non-excel solution.

I want to create a command that will place a stop loss bet if I am matched on my initial bet. Sounds simple right? Good luck finding a simple answer when you dont know what the answer is already, by that I mean I suspect I have already read the answer a dozen times without having a clue if it is or not.

Do I use STOP:x or STOP_PLACE:x? I want to 'red out' of my position so do I use the 'WITH_GREENING:TRUE' or 'FALSE'?, does TRAILING_STOP:TRUE do what it sounds like it does?

Specifically I want to LAY a selection, give it 10 seconds to place, then when the bet is matched, place a BACK bet 6 ticks lower, that will close out the lay position for a loss. I do not want to green out with a higher odds back selection, this command is not for trading for a green book, its for placing LAY bets.

Do I need to use OFFSET when attempting just a stop loss?

LAY FILL_KILL:TRUE KILL_DELAY:10 STOP:6 TRAILING_STOP:TRUE WITH_GREENING:TRUE

That to me looks like it will work, am I wrong before testing it in the wild?

In Practice mode, it places the LAY bet fine but the stop loss back bet doesnt get put into the market, so I am missing something important.

The more I read, the more I do not think this is possible.

Will find another solution.

The problem is that I want bet angel to place a BACK bet and hold it in the market even when a higher price is available, its something I can put together using some crazy logic puzzle on excel but I feel like a stop loss on a bet should be something guardian does on its own easily.

I guess I could set the offset ticks to something crazy like 200 that will never be matched but it will at least wake up the stop functions. We shall see.

Apparently even this is beyond me, the user guide is terrible for excel help.

Testing the idea out, I put this into the command cell-
LAY OFFSET:100 FILL_KILL:TRUE KILL_DELAY:10 STOP:1 TRAILING_STOP:TRUE WITH_GREENING:TRUE

The horse I'm testing it on is 10.0 and 10.5, so the lay bet goes in fine and then the back bet is placed with a stake of just 9p?

As far as I understand it, the stop loss should be puttingi n a bet for £9.55 at the STOP odds, resulting in a -0.73p all red market.

Where does the 9p bet come from?

I dont use excel myself, but guardian can do this and it's probably alot easier.

Yep, it can, I just dont want to have to sit at my computer all day running through hundreds of markets.

Given theres a 1 click option in Bet Angel to "Trade profit" there must be a simple command I cannot find for the life of me.

I could use a nap myself, my head is complete mince after all this.

I'm pretty sure GREEN is what I want to use. This user guide has no mention of what context it should be used in, where it should be used, should :TRUE/FALSE be added or anything else. For all the info on there I might aswell write GREEN on a piece of paper and leave it next to the computer in the hope it figures it out itself.
