Aussie Market - liquidity and potential

Apologies for my outright laziness here!! Having got a fairly good grip on the UK racing market, I quite fancy looking into some select automation on the Aussie market. Of course, I appreciate that there's no blanket approach here, so wished to solicit some pointers from fellow betfair backpackers out there.

Is there a lively section of the market that one should focus on, are there areas to avoid? Should I be looking at niche events that mirror the UK markets and if so, what are they. In short, I'm wondering if there's an idiots guide to communing in harmony with our Southern counterparts in an easy to digest format.

All pointers welcome, my main aim being to trade automatically on some narrow margin high liquidity markets as one would on a typical Kempton/Ayr bog standard race.
