Today's matches are set up perfectly for my favourite type of trade, based on big teams with high expectations at very short odds getting jangly nerves.
Levante are doomed, yet their only 2 home defeats in their last 9 matches have been to Barca and Real. Also, they haven't lost at home to Atletico in their last 5 heads-up matches. I reckon Simeone's palms are already sweating. Real Madrid have drawn their last 4 home league matches with Valencia, so despite their fantastic home league form, they can't be feeling too comfortable either. Both teams will also be wary of injuries ahead of the CL final.
I expect Barca to destroy Espanyol, but pre-match lays at very short odds on all 3, and boldly doubling up if they take the lead, could pay big dividends for remarkably low/limited risk.
La Liga trade opportunities today.
Well Levante have equalised against Atletico, and having laid them at 1.27 pre-match and doubled up at 1.08 at 0-1, I now have a guaranteed profit whatever happens, but unfortunately Real are now 2-0 up. Still, Barca are only a goal ahead, so let's see if some nerves can kick in.

One out of three paid off, and an overall profit, but from what I've heard, Valencia really could have upset Real Madrid. I'm not complaining though.
Astonishingly, Levante are now unbeaten in their last 6 home matches against Atletico. They've won 4 of them. I've admired Atletico this season generally, but I think they've now hit a brick wall.
I think their season will finally fall apart in the CL final, and have backed Real accordingly (I think the first time in my life I've done so!).
I won't mind if I'm wrong though - Atletico Madrid have been serially overlooked and underrated for several seasons now, so they do deserve a decent prize. I just don't think they'll get it this year.
