Hi,
Does anyone know at what time Betfair uploads the British and Irish markets for the next days racing? I want to be the first to lay the field @1.03 in the market. Can this be automated or will I have to do this manually? Many Thanks!! :D

you wee devil. well, i've noticed that the days races are loaded UP up-to 36 hours before (but not all). I'd imagine 22:00 is a good starting point for the next days' races, but not sure if they are good trading opps or not, as there is almost zero liquidity on them at that point. other better informed traders will hopefully hone in a bit more accurately.

alas, you certainly will not be able to lay the field at 1.03 as some runners have no pricing until later in the piece. of course, you could place lay bets of 1.03 on deferred execution on all runners but not sure if you'd get matched until IR - or whether it's a strategy that has legs (tho prolly has more legs than the nags I trade ;))

Contrary to the above, you can lay the field at 1.03 as soon as the market is open which is normally around 12 the day before. However it is not possible with betangel as you cannot auto load markets.

Not sure if 1.03 is profitable but 1.01 is, if you can get there first! 8-)

Somebody arrives milliseconds after each market opens, so it's a closed shop anyhow!
