I just logged in to check my results for the day
After entering my username and password, I noticed in the bottom left corner of my firefox brwser, something like "Waiting for Facebook.com" ? It then proceeded to show my normal login screen, ie username and balnce etc

Anyone else notoced it when logging in ?
(by the way; Im not even on facebook, nor is my system ever used by anyone to log into facebook)

Any thoughts please?
Regards
Peter

Edit: I think this is something to do with Firefox rather than a "Betfair/Facebook" association..
Maybe Im too sceptical about Betfair after all these years! :D

Hi Marc,
I think its inevitable that everone will be profiled. Look at Microsoft...you have to have an account for Xbox online subscription so they catch them at an early age..facebook and now Linked in...
Its possible to know where you are at any time; what you had for lunch and what you daily pattern is!

I work in that area and when you see the detail customers are profiled its scary!
Regards
Peter

PS Ever thought if betfair profile you and your betting activity??

You missed Google off that list - they are likely to know most about you than any other company though I hear that they are starting to lose some of that ability to aquire information as people use mobile devices more and more rather than desktop.

This has led to people going into apps directly rather than using google to access the same info.

For example, if you are on mobile you are most likely to go straight into the Facebook app. If you are on a Desktop you are more likely to search for facebook on google and then click through to facebook.
