Hi new to Trading on Betangel.. just a quick question on "greening/ hedging. As I used to back / lay on the Betfair site

If I have been backing / laying a particular horse and I am in profit to say £10 can I "green up to get the full £10 on that horse rather then " greening up on all selections and getting a smaller profit . Which button do I press... Or don't I need to ,

Assuming that all my bets are matched even if I let the trade go in play( didn't green up) would I still get a £10 profit?

E.G back 2.5 £80 traded .. Lay 2.0 £100 traded ....net profit whatever result £20( minus commission) ... Yet in most videos I see they green up and spread it in all runners and get a smaller return . Or am I getting confused ? Or am I mixing trading with albino/ swing trade

So what I'm asking if I have all my trades completed and matched in bet Angel before the off on one horse and I'm in profit

A ... Do I need to green up?
B....I can get the profit from my trades on the one horse ?
C... There is no point greening up across the field ?

I think I'm just confused that everyone seems to green up across the field .. when surely you can just take the full traded profit on the one horse

Is the trade profit calculator for this

Sorry for repeating myself

Thanks for that Dallas

As I say when I use Betfair, I usually back/ lay to make a profit whatever the outcome, and just a bit confused with the trade profit / green up .

I've attached image from arb calculator of odds in your example ... Profit figure slightly different ... So to achieve the same result via Betangel interface would I have to green up,?

Sorry for my ignorance

That figure shown is your greened up figure (Equal profit on all selections) The only difference in the profit shown between the images is the commission is also deducted from your image.

So the profit for both to green up at 2.82 is £15.25 or £14.29 after standard commission deducted.

Using Bet Angel to see your 'Green up' profit figures or 'Close trade' figures

On the one-click screen you would tick the 'green' box at the top of the trade profit column, Un-ticked all profit is left on the one selection that you have traded.

On the ladders screen the same is done by crossing or uncrossing the scales icon and the profit or loss down the left column of the ladder will change depending which you do

Yes as long as the scales are NOT crossed the figures you see are your green up figures, clicking on one of these figures Bet Angel will place the required bet amount needed at those odds to achive that profit shown.
