Firstly some music to cheer you up while reading this post, I thought the band kind of suited:

At bang on midnight Betfair, yup you guessed it, died again! Not just the API but Betfair wide. I then spent 10 mins on hold being told all the customer services people were too busy to answer my call so eventually hung up!

It really is like going back to the early days!

This level of service is just not good enough! Anyone know where we can setup an online petition or something?

I know we should act with our feet, well money, and move to Betdaq but it seems that won't happen in the short term so what about getting an online petition going to show Betfair we are PI$$ED OFF with this level of service and being treated like mushrooms! This could be a concerted effort combining all 4 of the main software providers so as to stirr up enough noise that perhaps they take notice for once!

I hope for all you tennis traders it is fixed in time! Actually I hope it isn't as then people might move to Betdaq for the match and hit Betfair the only place it seems they take notice - in the pocket!

The third image is from http://www.betfair.com and the second from the Service page where we are told to look when the site goes, what is the point of this page as it never tells you anything! Finally the first image shows the BDP page which says everythign is fine and dandy!

Really what is the point in the help desk? I was told they couldn't update the BDP website as it 'is a little too technical for the helpdesk'

And this company is valued at how much?

There is a link to Mark Davies Blog via the Betangel Blog...
Mark is the Betfair Director of External Affairs...
We could collectively vent our frustration to him via his web site perhaps??

Can you imagine taking your car for a service and they only do half of the service then tell you its just one of those things and they still want the full money for the service.

I would be so embarrassed if I worked there.

Totally laughable.

Cheers

Anyone interested in this? The technology might be a huge issue for Betfair but the lack of communication IS something they can do something about.

Hmm,

just lost 33% of my bank (I'm lucky I'm only playing at it, some poor devil might have lost their livelihood) due to "the lock up" mind you I suppose somebody got a small bonus

What are the relative merits of Betfair v BETDAQ? Is it just the amount liquidity or is BETDAQ’s technology seriously inferior to Betfair’s? I’m fed up with Betfair at the moment having seriously lost out last Monday when the exchange went down just as the 13:25 at Lingfield went in-play. Their customer service, as well as their technology, seems to leave a lot to be desired.

I find that large companies are forever bleating on about how customer service is so important to them, while at the same providing a shocking service.

Whats wrong with this image I just took from the Betfair Announcement's section???

Problem's - what problem's all is okay here we haven't had any downtime at all in the last week! Perhaps if they fixed the site as quickly as they removed the announcements on the site crashing we would all be in a better place!

id be interested andy.

i dont know how to go about it, and i think the various venders might be difficult considering the "friction" displayed over the last 18 months or so on various forums.but thier users will have experienced the same as us.

any ideas etc id be willing to help/aid if possable.

betfair really are taking the piss.

I'm getting a little suspicious of Betfair

The need to have a Premium Charge, but within a much poorer service, suggests Betfair might be having operational problems.

I'm half tempted to remove some of my bank, just in case it's not there tomorrow

It's a bit naughty to remove posts related to down time. Anybody just arriving on the site wouldn't have a clue of the persistant problems this week.
