I have the Match odds market up on the cricket and there seems to be laods of bets flashing in and out. I know cross matching is on but the amounts that are flashing in and out are the same so they can't be people taking bets in and out because of the in running delay.
Are everybody else seeing this if so do you think it is a betfair issue or Bet Angel?

This was once explained to me as a market refresh issue as I saw it years ago and brought it up. I was seeing amounts of say 1756 arrive and disappear immediately when arrived on my screen to the exact amount in slow motion replay. It was said that one person may see different prices to someone else due to refresh rates.

I don't think it is but that was the explanation I got.

In my opinion, it's more likely that market makers flash in amounts and match them with the opposing orders to create false liquidity and support for themselves.

They probably get favourable conditions in providing liquidity to avoid delays at a guess?

I have just spoken to Betfair and they have made an adjustment to the API and it seems to be much better.

What did they say exactly? Seems strange you would call them and they would say they would adjust the api without any investigation as to the cause

I spoken to my account manager and said i thought there was a problem and explained, after about 15 minutes there seemed to be an improvement so i called her back and she said she had received an email back but she didn't say what they said.

I've also noticed several times over the past few days that the API seems to freeze for a second or two.

Its just happened again about 2 minutes before the last race at Brighton (14.00).

Has anybody else noticed this or is it something my end?

And again there right on time at 17:58

Wish somebody from support would weigh in here on what the problem is...

Is it the API? The new version of BA 1.44? Its not just one person who's noticed this so it isn't a localised issue
