Does anybody know for sure when price information gets collected for the various historic odds conditions ie how far back in time can I refer to in a rule that runs 1 minute before the off ?

Is it as soon as Guardian begins updating in restricted refresh mode eg from 1800secs before the off ?

Or, is it only collected within the total "time window" covered by rules on the market eg 60secs to 0secs ?

Also, what happens if I refer to a historic time that cannot exist eg 1000's of seconds before I even set Guardian running on a market ? Will a relative historic data rule return true or false in this case ?

Bet Angel will start collecting data the moment you load it into Guardian.

Thanks for that - it's what I assumed rather than it being the rule's time window.

I had a restricted refresh starting at 1800 secs to get the 30min price but I failed to take into account the lost seconds as Guardian scans the various markets within that time frame.

This meant that the automation rule checking for the historic price at 5mins by checking price "1500 secs ago" sometimes seemed to get things wrong. Adjusted this to 1490 secs and seems to work fine :)

foxwood -thanks for explaining how you mitigated the issue. that is a real help, especially when placed in the context of future searches on the topic. It's not something that has ever affected me, but it's raised the spectre in my mind that it can/could happen and thus have now logged an approach as a result of your follow up!! ;)
