Yesterday - again - a horse was pulled from the start at the last minute because it would not go into the starting stalls. But it WAS NOT removed from the Betfair programme. This happens quite often and it gives us the chance to lay it in-running. As you will see from the video of yesterday, I layed it for £50. The £200 liability was never an issue. This happens I would reckon once or twice a week. So, just before the off, be aware of a non-runner which has not been removed from the Betfair programme - it's the easiest money you will ever make!!

Sorry to burst your bubble oliver but the horse is a non runner and all bets on that horse are cancelled so you have not won £50.

Sometimes horses refuse to start but are declared a runner but the courtsiders would immediately lay it at 1000's

Hi Oliver,

Just been watching some of your sniping videos. What success rate do you get doing this ?
Backing a large amount at such short odds. If one trade goes wrong you have a big loss.

Buggers - I'm flabbergasted. And here's me thinking I knew everything about Betfair; so I guess lessons learnt!!

Abraquay, regarding the sniping, I am happy setting a back bet at almost any price. But to be more specific, these days I wouldn't think twice about setting the back bet at £400 - £500 and try to snipe at around 1.1 to 1.2. And I am watching the race on Racing UK where the buffering is almost zero. The best races for this snipe technique are races of at least 1m4f+, preferably 2m+ and over the jumps. The 5f and 6f races I try to avoid. Hope this helps!!
