Quick question.
If I set a keep bet to be matched in play at say 1.8 backing certain horse, that horse then falls, another bolts past, gets brought down etc and the price rockets out to 1000 will my 1.8 be taken or will I get better odds? I mean if it moves so quick the odds don't stop going out, will the fact my 1.8 bet is there before hand get it matched or will the speed of things get me a better price?
Thanks in advance for your help
In play matching
You will always be matched at the best odds avaliable when you bet reaches the market, unless you use automation to trigger your bet as the price shortens as in this example file

If you mean the odds where already below 1.8 but you have placed and kept your back bet at 1.8 if the odds then fly out you will be matched at the 1.8 odds you asked for.
Oh not sure if you have been on the forum much recently but the thread you started back in 2013 is now the most posted on and viewed thread on the forum ... just a bit of useles info for you

Hi Dallas
Many thanks for your reply. Yes I do check in now and again and I've noticed it's still going strong. I did a few courses on pre race trading a few years back and I get the way it all works, I just couldn't get into the right mindset and I'm an impatient bugger so things weren't right for me so I took some time away and concentrated on my business. I've still done the odd footy trade but kept away from the horses due to time constrictions. I've been looking at some in play trading on the horses which would suit me better. I'd be laying before the off and then backing in play. So say I layed at 4.5 before the off and set a keep back bet at 5.5, if the horse fell would I get better odds or just the 5.5?
I know pre race I'd get the 5.5 but due to the speed of prices moving in play I was hoping on some trades I'd pick up a better price? Is this wrong?
Thanks

In that situation you would still get 5.5 as this is what you have asked for, if you where to click a back bet right at the moment a horse stumbled and its odds shot out during the 1 sec in-play bet delay then you can get matched at odds much higher than you clicked at.
Well glad to have you back theres been tons of info added while you have been away, for instance with B2L OR L2B stratergys this blog details a excellent resourse to finding some good oppertunities.

Do you have the one-click screen sorted by price? That could give you the behaviour you're experiencing.

But I am clicking it in the middle of the horse and it goes to the one above it
Only now and again it did it but still cost me £35

Sort the one-click screen by horse name or saddlecloth number. If you have it sorted by price then the position of the horses in the list will change as the odds change, and it happens too quickly to do anything about when you're in-play.
