Greening up when laying

I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction... I'm laying 2x greyhounds but I'd like to green up before the start of the race. I've seen something Dallas put up using signals to do this, but can't find the thread. Or can this be done through normal conditions and also can this be done on say just one out of the two dogs i.e if one is at say +£1.20 but the other is -£1.00?

It can be done just by adding a normal rule type and condition of either;

Green all selections with the condition 'Green all profit condition'
or
Close trade on selection with greening with the condition 'close trade profit condition

The 1st option will close when you total across all selections is met, the 2nd option looks at each individual selection (so you need a seperate rule for each) an example of this can be seen with the DOBing rule which backs 2 selections and greens each up individually if its profit target is met

Thanks Dallas... I've been trying to figure it out myself since I put up this question. I'm so close now even though I've only been a member for such a short time but have spent around eight hours+ a day on trying to perfect things. I've now set my bot up to lay one out of two dogs (which ever meets the conditions first) and I have been earning on average £90 per day.

However I'm a little confused as there's something weird going off with something somewhere. Can someone please explain the following Log because I this is when a substantial amount of money is taken from my account.

That message 'An error occurred while cancelling bets: The entire order has been rejected.' will be sent by betfair when you try to cancel a group of bets that have already been matched.

You have a lot of green-up orders triggering at the same time so most likely the bets were filled on the exchange a millisecond before.

Not sure what re-arm time your using or if you have multiple rules triggering a green all at the same time so i'de check that to safe guard against this in future

Thanks for your advice Dallas. Just a couple of points I can't get to grips with:

I have a few separate Green up rules set at different amounts triggering just once at the same time until 25 seconds before event start time. Each have just over three minutes to get matched and as you can see with the Log this is not happening.

Most of the time my setting work just fine but the above (log) seems to happen two to three times daily.

I'm set at 200m/s and automatically switching at 180m/s. My computer clock is spot on and my internet isn't playing up. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Without seeing the rule or screen shots of the actual greening settings used its difficut to say for certain, ut when you say you have seperate green ups triggering have you blocked them off with condtions so that
Green up 1 triggers between £1 and £2
Green up 2 triggers between £2.01 and £3
and so on

Or have just set them as
Green up 1 greater than £1
Green up 2 greater than £2
etc

If so then that would account for your problem if between refreshes you go from a 80p profit to £2.10 profit both condtions would be met and would trigger at the same time

Obviously I am laying a dog so what I'm trying to do is not green up higher than the lay price because if the dog does lose the race due to the many green ups I don't get anything back or lose quite a bit due to the green ups. However if it does win the race due to the amount of green ups I win a substantial amount.

You have already tried to explain why my bets are being cancelled but I can't see why they are.

Yes it's going okay but I need to tighten the rules a little more. I had a look at my averages yesterday and it is £102.00.

I've read and read the manual over and over again and tried to implement a few clues from Dallas and although my average is favourable at present there is so much more studying to do.

As i put in my earlier post if your triggering multiple green ups each with a slightly higher profit condition several of these can and often will be met at the same time as you profit increases, especially if you have a speperate green up profit for each penny of profit.

Just the one green up starting at >5p re-arming every few secs will do the job and ensure there is no errors like you have been getting
