What is the point?

I said I would try and give an idea about what has been happening for me since October 2010 but I will refrain.

Peter and I have been friends since about 2005, he inspired me to move from trading based on racing knowledge to pre-race trading based on the money flow. Was it hard work? Bloody hell yes and I freely admit I spat the dummy many times. I was not a troll or a hater like plenty are, I decided if Peter could do it then I should set my head straight and get on with it.

My best period came between 2006 and 2008 where I managed to make decent profit. I had already heard a rumour that a charge would be levied on profitable exchange users so I decided my wife needed to start trading I am sure you get my drift. I met Adam Heathcote during that period and he had the trolls and haters saying he was fake. Well he was for real and man could he rack up the profits. I am happy to say we are still good friends.

So the title is what's the point and it has a double meaning.

Have you noticed how successful people like Peter are derided and called fake whereas bullshit artists with no track record providing ebooks etc are placed on a pedestal and hero worshipped?

I talk most days with Peter and the huge negative is always the derision he suffers on social media. In 2009 I gave up on social media because you cannot argue with people who lack the power of reason. I was told about an idiot who said Adam lost his edge after his exchange advice site. What a load of bollocks based on pure bullshit! Adam, like me, was sick of the premium charge. He was smarter than me because he took the money and setup another business. I would have done the same thing but serious ill health clobbered me in 2010. It is amazing how quickly your savings are spent when you are virtually bedridden for 4 years bearing in mind I didn't rack up the same amount as Adam did!

I know some of the comments annoy and upset Peter and why wouldn't they? I just do not understand why they do it and what they're hoping to achieve?

So why should Peter bother? He doesn't need to sell the software to make a living. He puts profits back into new development, have you noticed how Bet Angel is constantly updated, far more than other products do!

So again I ask what's the point? Why should I and others offer honest advice to the forum if people have nothing better to do than post childish gibes? I don't give a shit about idiots like Oscar123 but I do wonder why they offer nothing but derision and negativity. As I said, double meaning, what is the point? I note Trader_Tom tried to stop the hate but then he get's a childish sarcastic comment. If you don't believe it or think you know better, then for the non-believer say nothing or ask a genuine question to see if there is a possibility there is some helpful information and you may not be 100% correct. If you know better then let's hear it. Sure it is very easy to be a keyboard warrior and simply flame everyone but why not enlighten us?

I have contacted plenty of people on this forum by PM and given them genuine proven advice to improve their trading. I will not name them but they have all been kind enough to thank me and stay in touch. I can hear the tapping of Oscar123's keyboard ready to flame this!

I am tired of this shit now and hopefully within 3-4 months I will be out of it forever. I know plenty of good people on here who will support me no matter what. I also know it will get boring for some because they will have to stay under their rock!

Social media is the work of the devil, just one of the reasons why I refuse to have Twitter/Facebook accounts etc

However, the world of trading/betting naturally inspires negativity in some, especially those that lose and are resentful of others success.

If Peter is getting tired of it, my advice to him is to consider changing his new style of videos. Wanting to be on camera puts you in the firing line, and if he doesn't need the money from BA then I question why he would want to do that.

I've started to see the constant ignorance and abuse as a positive. If, 17 years after starting people, still can't see it; they never will and that probably explains why I'm still able to do it. I've also learnt if you give somebody an edge, it doesn't mean they can actually use it. That's why I become so interested in Psychology.

You also see complete con men untouched by people's attentions, so that tells you that it's not driven by a desire to be ethical, upstanding or anything similar.

As a person who has sat both sides of the fences I think I can contribute to this post.

I firstly completely understand how you have said about personal jibes. I am a victim to this and I think what happens is when you have a dissagreement with someone in the past they tend to remember it and always go out of there way to do so.

I am a victim to this, sometimes I read a post and automatically feel the need to oppose it. Why is this the case- without trying to justify myself. I am a genuine, humble kind, shy family guy. I hate confrontation and I hate tic for tack squibbling. So why have I been a perpretator and a victim to the same cyber crime?

When your in a pub and your making friends everybody appears to respect the "tough" guy and everybody likes the funny guy and so on.
The problem is on a forum or the internet perception is entirey illusional. Our perception on everything is different.

In my view the way Peter is percieved on the forum to real life is completely different. (this is not negative just a genuine observation) I have attended Peters course. When I compare the two , I had two different people in my view. there both good opinions btw way. But my point is to me, when I met him I was like he doesnt come accross this way...
My point is sometimes things on this forum are not what they appear to be. I am not sure what Oscar123 has said but I have the exact same problem with forum member pinnochio. No matter what I say or two he tries to find a negative.

I have done the same. I have been an Oscar123 and if you met me in real life I will just agree to submission on everything. heck it someone times im too afraid to tell the guy on the mcdonalds till that I have the wrong order. Ona forum I can feel like a warrior.

I would say 95% of all my post i write, If I come across them a day or week later and read them I cringe every single time without failure! everytime! Yet I still right things that come acros very sure of myself or arrogant. But why is that? becasue that is not me in reality.

Although I am extremely dyslexic whic may be the case I doubt its everybodys reason.

The answer to this is very simple imo. You know Peter personally and I have met him once and its very prevalent he is a nice guy. Taking this into consideration when you see a post you can find it very hard to like- now the reason being; Peter is a very successful trader. However what people do not realise or in fact want to realise or hear is that it takes real change to follow the footsteps alike.

I call it music to my ears. The likes of other people seeling ebooks who come across as heros are selling a product people want to listen too. Whereas genuine peole like Peter know the reality of success. The things Peter may say are what is not what people want to hear. Ebooks are bought for instant riches whereas Peter doesnt provide that service.

When I have been learning to trade I have thrown my dummyout of the pram. I even did with you.

I beleive this is a great analagy to this forum.

If we were all aspiring body builders and we all loaded a picture of our bodys. the professionals would be respected instantly- Gods right.
Whereas me a newbie like me (well i like to think now my six back abbs are starting to show now) have this picture of big fat while belly with sweaty spoty skin.

Now who is respecting me? no one im just a fat spotty bloke.

Now lets turn this around to a non forum like situation.

All of us forum members go to the gym. We all have the same bodys. However you will know ifyou go to your local gym (proper gym- not these commercial gyms) I will get ,y respect. The like of others automatically respect you. They have been in your shoes. they know your commitment your effort. They get you.

It doesnt happen on this forum and I believe this is how a forum works.

It is about who you knew not what you know- where as the newbies want to know but all they are knowing is that the others know.


Taking everything into considersation there are people that are simply just idiots. You cannot reason with unreable people. With the internet you cant chose your friends.

Everybody in the world can access you, talk to you.

It is very very hard to not let it bother you. Heck silly things bother me. I mean really bother me. If a stranger in the street said 10 x more worse stuff I wouldnt even care. I d forget in 20 mins but on the internet it is very powerful and I beleive that falls down to words.

In real life words are a very small percentage to everything. where as on the internet it appears to be 90%. With this post what more can I possibly do then write? You cant look at me, smell me, hear me, touch me.

Jolly Green & Peter have my respect becuse I know what youve been through to get to the profitable side. Whether it was easier or harder you did it and I know how hard it was.

When eveyone understands that, I beleive you will additionally get the respect from those who are disrespectfull.

But everybody wants an easy life without hard work and these people like to sell it and buy it.

Right thats an hour of my trading taking up got to go.

From a member who intially had a grudge to your posts to someone now who appreicates them like gold dust. There is hope out there.

There are some people on here unfortunately who love winding people up (and my nose isnt growing as i write that . To be fair Oscar has written some good stuff over the years, so Im a bit surprised at his comments, maybe it was taken out of context
For what its worth; Jolly sat here with me in my dining room 10 years ago showing me the ropes. There was one key thing that he gave me that day which has held me in good stead over the years.

It really annoyed me recently when a couple of other bloggers had a pop at Peter/Betangel.
One if them is more interested in how many hits he has had on his website and the other wrote a mediocre book (with nothing in it that you couldnt easily look up on google).
There is a theme that runs through the book - Read other books and regurgitate the information in your own words..then add a caveat - "this isnt going to give you an edge, you need to research that further". Fair enough, but if I were marking it as a dissertation, it would only be below average. I can honestly say that I took nothing for it (and when I get time, Ill add my comments on Amazon).

Id love it if Peter would challenge them both to choose a market and then all three trade it and display their P&L.

Im all for free speech, but when it is unfounded you can only put their comments down to jealously at the end of the day

Funny enough i take inspiration from folks like Donald Trump. Here is a man who is slammed daily by the liberal media and he just keeps steadfast. Such heart.

I've nothing to hide and I'm willing to help others, as it's been such a wonderful journey for me. I realise it's not easy and that you can fail, but that's never stopped me from doing anything and in fact I love challenges. If you enjoy it and are willing to put some effort in, I'm sure you will get something out of it.
