Hi.
Please excuse the simplicity, or naivety, of the following question.

Is it possible to automatically/robotically lay the field I.R. at, say 1.6, with lower lays in behind but once the first selection is triggered then the rest of the field is instantly cancelled so that the first triggered bet is the only lay bet kept in play?

If so, which Bet Angel product would best suit my needs please?

Best regards, Camel :?:

Yes it's possible, but I can't really see the logic in having more lays lower than 1.6. The 1.6 will be hit before anything lower, so there's no point having them there just to be cancelled anyway. Have a look through the Youtube channel of BetAngel and you'll see the variety of possibilities available https://www.youtube.com/user/betangeltv

Thanks DB for your reply.

In my scenario above I want to keep the initial lay that is triggered with the subsequent lower lays on that selection kept in play also. Hopefully that explains what I would like to achieve and with all the other potential lays at 1.6 being cancelled once the first lay is hit/triggered.

Hope that is a little clearer?

Your thoughts on this would be very welcome.

I think I get it Camel, for example we'll say you want to lay the field at 1.6, 1.5, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1. In a 5 runner race horse (A-E) horse C hits your 1.6 lay, so you want his lays at 1.5, 1.4 and lower continued and you want all other lays cancelled?

Hey DF.

That is what I would like to achieve, yes. Have been trawling Youtube, various forums, etc. but cannot find a definitive answer as to whether this is available?

Would you say that is possible as many more 'rules' added to other peoples bots appear a lot more complex to put in place than what I would like to do?

Again, thanks for your reply and I look forward again to your response/views.

Yeah it should be possible Camel, I'll try out an automation tomorrow to see does it trigger right, but in my head I think I know what to do, whether it works right in reality or I'm forgetting something is another thing!

The number of rules or conditions in an automation can act as a safety net to prevent bets firing when they shouldn't, but being overly cautious can prevent bets firing at all, so being absolutely certain on all aspects of the automation is necessary. As an example, when I started trying out scalping automations after watching a few of Peters Youtube videos, I'd forget to put in the number of matched/unmatched bets condition. So the automation would be firing a bet from 5 minutes out, until 10 seconds before post time, every 10 seconds without fail. Quite an easy way to blow your bank if you're not watching it or doing it in live mode!

By and large your automations can be as simple or as complicated as you make them. You could try something like scalping the fav before the off time, then laying the field at 1.6 in-play, only if your pre-off scalping has hit a certain profit target like a tenner or so. The reliable Dallas has shared an automation combining 4 different ideas in one here http://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic ... 43&t=12261

The main issue with combining multiple automations into one, is making sure parts don't overlap or cancel each other out, or bets not firing if you're above your account limit, like backing a high price then not being able to get the lay bet fired because you're exposure is too high.

The automation feature is like a giant Etch a Sketch, you could take time and create a Renaissance masterpiece, or you could put little effort in and create a pile of sh1t

Hey.

I very much appreciate your response and angles. Busy with the children/school day tomorrow, etc!

I look forward to your input re; the automation of it all but will take time later to look at the feed from Dallas.

Cheers in advance fella.

Best, Camel.

If you add the rule type 'Cancel unmatched bets on selection' and apply it to 'ANY' selection (ensure there is enough triggers to cover the amount of runners in a race - it does'nt harm to have to many) and use the following condition

Number of unmatched Condition
On Selection
Is 'equal' to X (where X is the amount of lays you have placed on each selection)

Obvioustly the one that has had a bet matched will now be excluded from this condition therefore that selections unmatched bets will remain but all others will be cancelled.
